Deceased in July 28 Fatal Crash Identified


PRINCE FREDERICK, Md. (Aug. 2, 2016)—Police have released the names of the parties involved in the 2 vehicle collision Thursday, July 28, on route 4 at West Mt. Harmony Road which resulted in one death. The two people in the second vehicle were uninjured.

The deceased was identified as Eliza E. Bailey, a white female, age 17. The driver of the second vehicle, who was unharmed, was identified as Michael D. Musumeci, a white male, age 40. Mr. Musumeci's passenger was not identified.

At 10:35 am that morning, troopers from the Maryland State Police Prince Frederick Barrack responded to Route 4 at West Mt. Harmony Road for a reported serious motor vehicle collision. Preliminary investigation revealed a 1992 Plymouth passenger vehicle was traveling on West Mt. Harmony Road, towards Rt. 4, when the vehicle failed to yield the right of way to a 2014 Ford pick-up truck that was traveling northbound on Rt. 4 at West Mt. Harmony Road.

As a result of the collision, the driver of the Plymouth vehicle was trapped in her vehicle and succumbed to her injuries at the scene. The driver of the pick-up truck and a passenger in the pick-up were uninjured.

Troopers from the Maryland State Police CRASH Team responded to the scene to reconstruct the accident.
