LA PLATA, Md. (July 28, 2016)—The Charles County Sheriff's Office today released the following incident and arrest reports.
THEFTS FROM AUTOS: Between July 27 and July 28, during the overnight hours, unknown suspect(s) broke into several cars on Walkaway Court in Bryans Road. Money and other small items were stolen. Pfc. D. Raby is investigating.
DETECTIVES IDENTIFY AND ARREST BURGLARY SUSPECT: On July 27, detectives assigned to the Criminal Investigations Division identified Phillip Randolph Adams, 36, of Mechanicsville, as a suspect in a burglary that occurred at a business in the 5800 block of Gallant Green Road in Hughesville on July 25. The suspect was also linked to a theft at a church in La Plata in which the La Plata Town Police were investigating. Adams was charged with burglary, theft and destruction of property. Det. M. Kelly investigated.
DESTRUCTION OF PROPERTY: On July 27 between midnight and 3:15 a.m., unknown suspect(s) damaged several cars in the area of Oxon Court in White Plains. The suspects used white spray paint and sprayed profanity on the vehicles. Cpl. G. Barnhart, Sr. is investigating.
CRIME SOLVERS OFFERING CASH REWARD IN ROBBERY CASE: On July 23 at 10:15 p.m., officers responded to the area of St. Marks Drive and Huntington Woods Drive in Waldorf for the report of a robbery. Two male victims were walking in the area when they were approached by two suspects who displayed a handgun and demanded the victims' backpacks and cell phones. The suspects then assaulted the victims and fled. Charles County Crime Solvers is offering a cash reward for information leading to an arrest in this case.
