Charles Co. Public Schools Chooses New Student Information System

MESA, Ariz. (July 26, 2016)—Edupoint Educational Systems has been selected by Charles County Public Schools to implement the company's Synergy Student Information System. Seeking to replace a legacy solution that had been in place for over 30 years, the district needed a modern solution that would provide real-time access to student and instructional data for all education stakeholders to help improve learning outcomes.

Charles County Public Schools serves over 26,000 students across 36 campuses in Southern Maryland. In searching for a new student information system, the district evaluated five nationally-recognized solutions and selected Synergy.

"Charles County Public Schools needed a modern solution that would provide them timely and flexible access to student and instructional data and eliminate reliance on third-party solutions, and we're proud to say Synergy was able to meet those requirements," says Rob Wilson, Edupoint's President and Chief Innovation Officer. "Synergy's single database allows the district to enter data just once and have it available in real-time throughout the entire Synergy Education Platform, which maximizes efficiency and greatly simplifies student information management from registration through graduation. We welcome Charles County Public Schools to the Synergy family, and we look forward to building our partnership with them and to continued growth throughout Maryland."

The district is currently finalizing their data migration timeline with plans to go live with Synergy in July 2017.
