PRINCE FREDERICK, Md. (July 18, 2016)—The Prince Frederick Barrack of the Maryland State Police (MSP) today released the following incident and arrest reports.
POSSESSION OF HEROIN: On July 11 at 6:32 pm, Trooper First Class Warrick responded to the split at Rt. 2 & Rt. 4 for a possible impaired driver lookout. The vehicle was located in the parking lot of Rt 2/4 Liquors. Michael L. Johns, 34 of North Beach, was contacted while he was seated in vehicle. Drug paraphernalia was observed in the front seat of Johns' vehicle. A probable cause search was conducted and .5 grams of suspected heroin was located. Johns was arrested and incarcerated at the Calvert County Detention Center.
POSSESSION OF HEROIN: On July 12 at 2:35 am, Trooper First Class Matthews responded to the 1800 block of Foggy Bottom Court in Sunderland for a suspicious vehicle compliant. Benjamin P. Mooradian, 27 of North Beach, was found unconscious in the front driver's seat of the running vehicle. After waking Mooradian, he was arrested for possession of heroin that was observed in the front seat of his vehicle. A probable cause search was conducted and additional heroin was located. Mooradian was arrested and incarcerated at the Calvert County Detention Center.
TELEPHONE MISUSE, HARASSMENT: On July 13 at 6:34 pm, Trooper First Class Newcomer investigated a telephone misuse and harassment complaint. The victim provided proof the suspect was continuously making harassing text and phone calls to her. A criminal summons was issued for the suspect and the case will remain open until the summons is served.
STOLEN VEHICLE: On July 14 at 11:37 am, Trooper First Class Bray responded to the 11200 block of Cornwall Rd. in Owings for a reported stolen vehicle. The victim reported his 1999 GMC Gray Safari Van was taken from the driveway sometime during the night. The vehicle information has been entered into Miles/NCIC. Investigation continues.
HOME INVASION, ROBBERY, ASSAULT & THEFT: On July 16 at 1:08 am, Trooper First Class Warrick responded to the 9200 block of Easy Street in Owings for a reported home invasion with assault. TFC Warrick made contact with the victim who had a deep laceration above his eye and blood coming from his ear and head. The victim reported two or three black males kicked in the rear door of the residence and awoke him with a silver revolver in his face demanding money. A brief struggle ensued and the victim was knocked unconscious. When regaining consciousness, he contacted 9-1-1. The victim reported that four handguns had been stolen by the suspects. Two of the handguns were located having been dropped when the suspects left the residence. Additional evidence was found at the scene and collected. A Calvert County Sheriff's Office k-9 conducted a track, however, the track ended not far from the residence.
