Upper Marlboro Woman Claims $10,000 Lottery Prize

UPPER MARLBORO, Md. (June 7, 2016)—An Upper Marlboro woman is $10,000 richer, thanks to her aunt and the Maryland Lottery. Surrounded by family members at Lottery headquarters, the 34-year-old told officials that her $10,000 Lucky Bucks Bingo win shocked her and she is now just overcome with gratitude.

The transportation specialist asked her aunt, who was leaving for a Baltimore shopping trip, to check G & A Food Market's Lottery selection for the $2 Lucky Bucks Bingo ticket. "I had played the game a few times and enjoyed it," she reported. Scratching off her instant ticket later that evening, the Prince George's County resident reports being floored by what she saw.

"I have never ever won this kind of money," she said. The stunned winner remained calm when she shared news of her good fortune with her family because she didn't yet believe her big win was real. "We were a happy bunch."
