LA PLATA, Md. (June 6, 2016)—The Charles County Sheriff's Office today released the following incident and arrest reports.

THEFT FROM MOTOR VEHICLE, DESTRUCTION OF PROPERTY: Sometime between the hours of 11 p.m. on June 4 and 9 a.m. on June 5, unknown suspect(s) entered an unlocked vehicle in the area of Garner Avenue in Waldorf and stole a laptop. Between the hours of 8 p.m. on June 4 and 12:30 p.m. on June 5, unknown suspect(s) smashed a rear window of a vehicle located in the 900 block of Waddell Road in Waldorf. No property was removed from the vehicle. Investigators are looking into the possibility the same person was responsible for both incidents. Officers G. Cook and D. Spence are investigating.

THEFT FROM MOTOR VEHICLE: On June 5 at 8:36 a.m., officers responded to the 6700 block of Partition Place in Bryantown for the report of a theft from a motor vehicle. Upon arrival officers interviewed the victim, who stated that she had arrived to the residence for a party on the evening of June 4. When she left on the morning of June 5, she discovered that her front windshield and right front passenger window had been smashed. The victim's purse, as well as the contents of her friend's wallet, had been stolen. Officer S. Hooper is investigating.

THEFT FROM MOTOR VEHICLE: On June 4 at approximately 2:49 a.m., a resident of a home on Mooncoin Circle in Waldorf heard a car door shut outside of his window and observed a subject walking away from his sister's vehicle. The victim confirmed that a tablet and cash had been stolen from her car, and she and her father observed the suspect walking on University Drive. Officers responded and canvassed the area. At 3:49 a.m., a person matching the description of the suspect was located in the area of Jefferson Road. The suspect, a 17-year-old juvenile of Waldorf, was positively identified by the victim. Further investigation led to the recovery of the stolen tablet in the suspect's house. The suspect may be connected to other thefts from autos in the area. Officer J. Brown is continuing the investigation.

THEFT OF RIMS AND TIRES: Sometime between the hours of 11 p.m. on June 2 and 7:15 a.m. on June 3, unknown suspect(s) stole the rims and tires from a Dodge Challenger which was in a parking lot located in the 11600 block of Lewisham Place in Waldorf. Officer B. Rash is investigating.

SEARCH WARRANT EXECUTION, POSSESSION WITH INTENT TO DISTRIBUTE MARIJUANA: On May 31 at 3:30 p.m., officers responded to the 2000 block of St. Thomas Drive in Waldorf for the illegal drug activity. During the investigation, officers observed a large amount of marijuana and contacted the Narcotics Enforcement Section. A search warrant was obtained, and pursuant to the search of the residence, over two pounds of marijuana and $4,180 in currency were recovered, as well as packaging materials and other paraphernalia. Alexis La'Sha Washington, 20, of Waldorf, and Antonio Michael Jones, 25, of Washington, D.C., were arrested and charged with possession with intent to distribute marijuana. Pfc. S. Duley and Detective C. Barrows investigated.

THEFT FROM MOTOR VEHICLES: On May 28, officers were notified of several thefts from motor vehicles, which had taken place during the very early morning hours in the Sheffield neighborhood located off of St. Charles Parkway in Waldorf. There were multiple victims. Officer J. Bottorf is investigating.

ATTEMPTED COMMERCIAL BURGLARY: On May 27 at 3:49 a.m., officers responded to a business located in the 1100 block of Smallwood Drive in Waldorf for the report of an intrusion alarm. Upon arrival, officers discovered two glass doors had been shattered and attempted to be forced in; however, entry was unsuccessful. Officer A. Bringley is investigating.
