LEONARDTOWN, Md. (June 6, 2016)—The St. Mary's County Sheriff's Office today released the following incident and arrest reports.

5/19/2016 POSSESSION OF A FIREARM: Deputy C. Ball responded to the 22000 block of Valley Lee Estates in Lexington Park for the report of a disturbance. The suspect, Jason Elliot Wright, age 33, of Landover, attempted to elude Deputy Ball by running away on foot. He was apprehended, and a search revealed suspected crack cocaine in his possession. Deputy Ball also located a firearm on the path where Elliot attempted to flee. Further investigation revealed, Wright had a warrant for his arrest and was prohibited from possessing firearms or related ammunition. Wright was transported to the St. Mary's County Detention Center and charged with Two Counts of Possession of a Regulated Firearm, Wearing a Handgun on Their Person, Possession of a Controlled Dangerous Substance: Cocaine, and Possession of Ammunition. 5/19/2016 CURRENCY COUNTERFEIT: Deputy J. Davis responded to the St. Mary's County Detention Center for the report of counterfeit currency. The suspect, Douglas Bernard Mason, age 32, of Lexington Park, failed to notify correctional officers the bill in his possession during intake was fake. Mason was charged with Currency Counterfeit. CASE# 25982-16

5/26/2016 POSSESSION: Deputy J. Bare responded to the 30000 block of Three Notch Road in Charlotte Hall to assist a Charles County officer with a suspicious individual. Deputy Bare made contact with the suspect, Kendall James Buckler, age 27, of Hughesville, who had been loitering on the property. He refused to comply with several requests from the deputies to leave the property. Subsequently, he was placed in handcuffs and searched; deputies discovered two syringes and suspected heroin. Buckler was transported to the St. Mary's County Detention Center and charged with CDS Possession: Not Marijuana, CDS Possession: Paraphernalia, and Resist/Interfere with Arrest. CASE# 27307-16

5/25/2016 ASSAULT: Deputy B. Gaskill responded to the 17000 block of Piney Point Road in Piney Point for a reported theft. The suspect, Darren Matthew Bevins, age 29, of Piney Point, exited a store without paying for an item. During the investigation, Bivens repeatedly refused to give deputies his name, and as a result, he was placed under arrest for further investigation. As deputies attempted to place Bivens in handcuffs, he became very combative by pushing, kicking, and attempting to punch officers. He was placed under arrest and transported to the St. Mary's County Detention Center. Bivens was charged with Two Counts of Second Degree Assault, Two Counts of Resisting/Interfering with Arrest, and Theft Less than $100. CASE# 27066-16

5/27/2016 ASSAULT: Deputy R. Roszell responded to MedStar St. Mary's Hospital for the report of a possible assault. The victim alleged the suspect, Amanda Rae Bailey, age 34, of Hollywood, struck the victim in the head with a bat. The victim displayed injuries consistent with the allegations. The suspect was located and placed under arrest. Bailey was charged with First Degree Assault. CASE# 27512-16

5/28/2016 BURGLARY: Victims allege the suspect, William Thomas McLaren, age 33, of Prince George's County, entered their residence and stole several firearms and then pawned them in Charles County. McLaren was transported to the St. Mary's County Detention Center, where he was charged with First Degree Burglary, Theft Over $100, Conspiracy to Commit Burglary, and Conspiracy to Commit Theft. CASE# 27724-16

5/29/2016 ASSAULT: Corporal D. Snyder responded to Fred's Liquors in Charlotte Hall for the report of an assault with a knife. The victim alleged the suspect, Andrew Cage Clark, age 18, of Mechanicsville, exited a vehicle and walked towards the victim with a knife. Clark followed the victim into a field and then punched the victim in the face and head. Clark was transported to the St. Mary's County Detention Center. He was charged with First and Second Degree Assault. CASE# 27885-16

5/26/2016 POSSESSION: Deputy Molitor observed the suspect, Heather Marie Garner, age 27, of Hollywood, walking down Hollywood Road in Hollywood. Further investigation confirmed Garner had an open warrant, subsequently, she was placed under arrest. A search revealed several plastic baggies containing suspected heroin, along with two syringes and a metal spoon. She was transported to the St. Mary's County Detention Center and charged with CDS Possession - Not Marijuana and CDS Possession Paraphernalia, in addition to being served a bench warrant. CASE# 27228-16

6/4/2016 POSSESSION: Sgt. Moritz stopped a vehicle for a traffic violation in the area of Great Mills Road and Three Notch Road. The passenger in the motor vehicle, Tina Marie Tippett, age 27, of Lexington Park, was in possession of numerous prescription pills. As Tippett exited the vehicle, numerous pills fell from her lap to the ground. An additional search revealed, hypodermic needles with suspected heroin residue, metal spoons with suspected heroin residue, small plastic bags, and a medicine bottle containing suspected phencyclidine (PCP). Tippet was placed under arrest and transported to the St. Mary's County Detention Center. She was charged with Possession: Not Marijuana: Heroin, Possession: Not Marijuana: Oxycodone, Possession: Not Marijuana: Phencyclidine (PCP), and Two Counts of Possession With the Intent to Use Paranerphnalia. CASE#28894-16

6/5/2016 ASSAULT: Deputy J. Bare responded to the 21000 block of Erin Road in Lexington Park for the report of a domestic assault. The victim alleged the suspect, Yosselin Jovel Escobar, age 22, of Lexington Park, punched the victim in the face during an argument. The victim further advised, Escobar scratched the victim's neck and pinched the victim's stomach. The victim displayed visible signs of injury. Escobar was transported to the St. Mary's County Detention Center, where she was charged with Second Degree Assault. CASE# 29136-16

6/4/2016 ASSAULT: Deputy G. Mushchette responded to the 21000 block of Eric Road in Lexington Park for the report of a disturbance. The victim alleged the suspect, Timjuan Dantaye Mundell, age 39, of Lexington Park, struck the victim in the face multiple times with a closed fist causing visible signs of injury. Mundell was transported to the St. Mary's County Detention Center, where he was charged with Second Degree Assault. CASE# 29047-16

COUNTERFEIT COMPLAIN: Unknown suspect(s) passed a counterfeit bill at the Mcdonalds in California. Deputy Siciliano is investigating the case. CASE# 28861-16

BREAKING AND ENTERING: Unknown suspect(s) entered a motor vehicle and stole a handicap placard in the 45000 block of Foxchase Drive in Great Mills. Deputy McClure is investigating the case. CASE# 28793-16

BURGLARY: Unknown suspect(s) entered a shed and stole property in the 21000 block of Cedar Hill Lane Road in Leonardtown. DFC Gaskill is investigating the case. CASE# 29166-16
