Hollywood Man Passes from Medical Emergency While in Vehicle

LEONARDTOWN, Md. (May 19, 2016)—Police in St. Mary's Co. report that a 63-year-old Hollywood man passed away Wednesday morning as a result of a medical emergency. Thomas Daniel Wallace, Sr. was behind the wheel of a stationary vehicle at the time. The vehicle subsequently rolled of the roadway into a wooded area.

On May 18, at 11:40 a.m. deputies responded to a motor vehicle collision in the area of Mervell Dean Road and Halford Lane in Hollywood. Upon arrival, deputies located a 2005 Chevrolet Trailblazer in a wooded area behind a residence. The operator, Mr. Wallace, was pronounced deceased at the scene by EMS personnel.

Members of the Collision Reconstruction Unit responded and assumed the investigation. Preliminary investigation indicates the vehicle remained stationary at the end of a residential driveway before Mr. Wallace experienced a medical emergency, causing the vehicle to roll uncontrolled into the woods.
