Waldorf Man Dies from Injuries Sustained in Fatal Crash in Clinton

Lost control of his car and ultimately struck another car head on

CLINTON, Md. (May 18, 2016)—30-year-old Brandan Sneed of Bannister Circle in Waldorf passed away Tuesday as a result of injuries sustained in a vehicle accident the previous evening.

On Monday at about 7:45 pm, patrol officers with the P.G. Co. Police Dept. were called to the area of Old Alexandria Ferry Road near Shapiro Drive for a crash involving four vehicles.

The preliminary investigation revealed Sneed was traveling eastbound on Old Alexandria Ferry Road when, for reasons which are under investigation, he lost control of his car and ultimately struck another car head on in the westbound lane. Sneed's car also struck a third car. Debris from the crashes hit a fourth vehicle.

Sneed was taken to the hospital where he died on May 17th. A passenger in another vehicle suffered critical injuries. A driver and two additional passengers were also hurt. Their injuries are not considered life-threatening.
