LA PLATA, Md. (April 7, 2016)—The Charles County Sheriff's Office released the following incident and arrest reports.

CHARLES AND CALVERT COUNTY SHERIFF'S OFFICERS EXECUTE SEARCH WARRANT/LOCATE NARCOTICS: On April 6 at approximately 5:51 a.m., members of the CCSO Narcotics Enforcement Section with the assistance of the Emergency Services Team, Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, and Firearms, and the Calvert County Sheriff's Office Emergency Services Team executed search and seizure warrants on Mary Barnes Place and in the 12000 block of Shiloh Church Road in Newburg. Pursuant to the execution of the search warrants, quantities of K-2, marijuana, crack cocaine, U.S. currency, and numerous distribution and user paraphernalia were seized. Justin Lafranz Holton, 25, of Newburg, was arrested and charged with possession with intent to distribute marijuana and crack cocaine. Pfc. D. Suave and Cpl. M. Davidson are investigating.

PEDESTRIAN INJURY CRASH: On April 5 at approximately 9:42 p.m., officers responded to the area of Old Washington Road north of Acton Lane in Waldorf for the report of a pedestrian injury crash. Upon arrival, officers located and assisted the victim, a 54-year-old male, who was transported to a hospital with serious injuries. He is currently in stable condition. An investigation revealed the victim was walking in the northbound lane of Old Washington Road, wearing dark clothing, when he was struck. The driver of the striking vehicle remained on the scene and was cooperative with officers. Pfc. P. McPherson is investigating.

ACCIDENTAL INJURY: On April 3 at approximately 9:18 a.m., officers responded to a parking lot in the 4300 block of Indian Head Highway in Indian Head for a report of a subject with a gunshot wound to the leg. An investigation revealed that the victim drove himself and his wife to a store, and he remained in the car while she went inside. When his wife returned to the car, she found him bleeding from an apparent gunshot to his groin area; a gun was located nearby. Two customers were in the process of rendering first aid. The victim was transported to a hospital and is in stable condition. A subsequent investigation showed the victim kept a loaded handgun in his car and it appears he was looking at it when he accidentally shot himself. Det. C. Gilroy is continuing to investigate.
