LA PLATA, Md. (April 1, 2016)—The Charles County Sheriff's Office today released the following incident and arrest reports.

STRONG ARMED ROBBERY: On April 1 at approximately 6:15 a.m., a woman was walking her dog in the area of St. Patrick's Drive at Highgate Place in Waldorf when a man wearing all black clothing approached her and grabbed her cell phone and keys from her hand. The suspect fled into the woods. Officer K. Collins is investigating.

DESTRUCTION OF PROPERTY OVER $1,000: On April 1 at approximately 6:55 a.m., employees arrived at a business in the 100 block of St. Patrick's Drive in Waldorf and observed an unknown suspect leaving the area of a vehicle, which had a window broken out, in the parking lot. An investigation revealed that at approximately 3:52 a.m., the suspect arrived at the business and kicked open five lower bay windows at the front of the building. He then smashed the passenger-side window of a pickup truck that was parked in the parking lot and entered the vehicle, only leaving the area when the employees arrived just before 7 a.m. Pfc. E. Baker is investigating.

OFFICERS INVESTIGATE SUSPICIOUS PACKAGE: On March 31 at approximately 2:52 p.m., officers responded to the 4400 block of Regency Place in White Plains for a complaint of a suspicious package. Upon arrival, officers located the package and evacuated the building. The Maryland State Fire Marshal's Office Bomb Squad responded and collected the suspicious item. Their office is investigating.
