Geral Anthony Holt, Jr., 25, of Mechanicsville, Md.
LEONARDTOWN, Md. (March 24, 2016)—The St. Mary's County Sheriff's Office Vice Narcotics Division today released the following arrest report. The Division is an investigative team comprised of detectives from the St. Mary's County Sheriff's Office and Federal Drug Agents (HIDTA Group 34). The Division was established on September 1st, 2007.
Vice/Narcotics detectives were conducting a drug investigation of a separate suspect when they encountered Geral Anthony Holt, Jr., 25, of Mechanicsville, as a passenger of the target vehicle. Suspect Holt was in possession of a substance believed to be synthetic marijuana. Laboratory results confirmed the substance was XLR-11, a/k/a "Dead Man Walking" synthetic marijuana. Charges were obtained in this case and Suspect Holt eluded apprehension for more than a year, allegedly traveling in and out of the State of Maryland. The warrant has now been served and he has been formally charged. He is awaiting a hearing before the District Court.
