Man Injured in Prince Frederick House Fire
A 61-year-old man sustained burns to his body in a house fire and was flown to Washington Burn Center yesterday around 6:50 p.m. The other occupant of the home is being assisted by family members.
The one story, single-family home is located at 1770 Old Adelina Road in Prince Frederick.
Damages are estimated at $50,000.00 to the structure and $5,000.00 for the contents.
The one-alarm fire took 25 firefighters from Prince Frederick VFD an hour to bring under control.
The fire was discovered by a neighbor. The area of origin and preliminary cause are still under investigation.

Electrical Fire in Mechanicsville Home
An accidental fire at 38216 Zane Court, Mechanicsville, around 3:16 p.m. yesterday caused an estimated $5,500 in damages to the one story, single-family home. The fire was the result of an electrical malfunction in a light fixture in the area of the attic, according to the Fire Marshal's office.
The one-alarm fire took 25 firefighters from Mechanicsville VFD 10 minutes to bring under control.
There were no injuries reported.
