Man Found Dead in Convenience Store Restroom; Possible Overdose


LEONARDTOWN, Md. (March 1, 2016)—Police were called to the Leonardtown Dash In early Monday morning because there was a man found sleeping in the bathroom. Turns out the man was actually deceased.

Police suspect that illegal substances may be a factor in the man's death. More will be known after an autopsy has been performed; the body has been transported to the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner in Baltimore.

Police say the family of the deceased has been notified and they will not be releasing the name of the man, or any other identifying data, to the public.

The investigation is being conducted by detectives from the St. Mary's County Sheriff's Office Criminal Investigations Division and the Vice/Narcotics Division.
