ST. CHARLES, Md. (Feb. 8, 2016)—The St. Charles Companies has been named the Reed W. McDonagh Business of the Year by the Charles County Chamber of Commerce.
"The St. Charles Companies are honored to be recognized by the Charles County Chamber," said St. Charles Companies President, Matthew Martin. "This Chamber and its leaders have been important partners for our company and many others, encouraging economic development and enhancing quality of life throughout the County."
This is the second time St. Charles has been honored with the award and comes as the Chamber celebrates its diamond jubilee, recognizing the business organization for 60 years of service to Charles County. The award is named after Mr. McDonagh, the influential county resident and local businessman who founded the Chamber.
"We're very proud to recognize St. Charles as our 2015 honoree," said former Chamber president Sue Greer in making the announcement. "Their involvement with the Chamber, their leadership on the Chamber economic development committee, and their commitment to promoting sound, ethical business ideals well beyond the borders of their planned community make the St. Charles Companies an outstanding honoree."
