LA PLATA, Md. (Jan. 14, 2016)—The Charles County Sheriff's Office today released the following incident and arrest reports.

DRUG ARREST: On January 13 at 12:30 a.m., officers initiated a traffic stop on Billingsley Road near Middletown Road in White Plains after observing a traffic violation. Upon making contact with the occupants of the car, officers detected an odor of raw marijuana. After further investigation, officers found 18 grams of marijuana and three digital scales inside the vehicle. Joseph Lee Monroe, Jr., 20, Cordell Earl Spicer, 19, and Alexis Jenai Turner, 19, all from Indian Head, were arrested and charged with possession of a controlled dangerous substance and possession with the intent to distribute narcotics. Officer A. Coulby made the arrest.

BURGLARY: On January 12 at 10 a.m., officers responded to the 10400 block of Danwin Court in Waldorf for the report of a burglary. Investigation showed the victim was at home when she heard glass break in her basement. She went to investigate and observed the basement door was unlocked, the security bar had been moved, and a window was shattered. She also reported a man knocked on her front door that morning looking for work. The man was described as a black male with a light complexion wearing a tan parka, black pants with white stitching, and a faded blue sweatshirt. Officers checked the house and nothing was reported stolen. Officer R. Pickeral is investigating.
