LEONARDTOWN, Md. (Jan. 11, 2016)—The St. Mary's County Sheriff's Office Vice Narcotics Division today released the following arrest report. The Division is an investigative team comprised of detectives from the St. Mary's County Sheriff's Office and Federal Drug Agents (HIDTA Group 34). The Division was established on September 1st, 2007.

At the conclusion of an investigation conducted by Vice/Narcotics detectives, Lewis Steven Tayman, Jr., age 45, of Mechanicsville, was indicted and subsequently arrested for Distribution of Oxycodone. He was originally held without bond.

Tayman has a criminal history dating back to 1991. Charges against him have included numerous assaults, possession of marijuana, disorderly conduct, uttering a bad check, violation of a protective order, theft, domestic violence, and driving under the influence.
