UPPER MARLBORO, Md. (Jan. 10, 2016)—A deceased woman's body was found lying in the roadway in Prince George's County Saturday night. The woman has been identified as Tiffany Storey, 33, of Upper Marlboro.
Shortly before 9:30 p.m., Maryland State Police from the Forestville Barrack responded to the area of northbound Route 301 near the exit ramp for Route 4 in Upper Marlboro and found a fully clothed,
caucasian female lying face down in the roadway. Emergency medical personnel pronounced her deceased at the scene.
The body was discovered by individuals who had been driving in the area.
Troopers secured the scene and called for State Police crime scene technicians.
Investigators observed obvious trauma to the woman's body.
Autopsy results indicate Storey's cause of death was multiple injuries. The manner of death is still pending further investigation. The report also noted no signs of suspicious injury.
State police investigators from the Criminal Enforcement Division, Central Southern Region, along with troopers from the Forestville Barrack and the CRASH Team responded to the scene. Emergency responders from the Prince George's County Fire Department also responded to assist.
U.S. 301 northbound was shut down at the southbound Maryland Route 4 exit ramp during the investigation. Traffic was diverted onto southbound Maryland Route 4 until the scene was cleared.
