LEONARDTOWN, Md. (Dec. 21, 2015)—The Leonardtown Barrack of the Maryland State Police (MSP) today released the following incident and arrest reports.

ASSAULT: On December 2, 2015 at 2:05 pm, TFC Krenik responded to the 47000 block of Lincoln Avenue in Lexington Park for a reported assault. The victim advised Samantha Elizabeth Owens, 18, of Lexington Park, threw a broom at the victim and cut the victim's hand. Ms. Owens was placed under arrest and transported to the St. Mary's County Detention Center. She was held pending a bond review with the District Court Commissioner. (15-MSP-044860)

DRUG ARREST: On December 3, 2015 at 12:23 am, TFC Couter initiated a traffic stop on a white passenger car for a minor traffic violation. TFC Couter made contact with the driver, Stacy Lynn Edwards, 20, of St. Leonard, for Driving Without a License. She was transported to the Maryland State Police Leonardtown Barrack for processing. A search was done at the Barrack, resulting in the recovery of Heroin. Ms. Edwards was transported to the St. Mary's County Detention Center and charged with CDS Possession - Not Marijuana and CDS Possess Paraphernalia. She was held pending a bond review with the District Court Commissioner (15-MSP-044943)

THEFT: On December 3, 2015 at 12:31 pm, Senior Trooper Evans responded to the Walmart in California for a reported theft. Upon arrival, Senior Trooper Evans made contact with the complainant, who advised he witnessed the suspect, Florence Lovet Goldring, 57, of Lusby, walk through the store placing several items in her purse. Ms. Goldring then attempted to exit the store with the unpaid merchandise. Ms. Goldring was issued a "Notice Not to Trespass" and a criminal citation charging her with Theft Less Than $1000. ROBBERY: On December 4, 2015 at 5:08 pm, TFC Pitcher responded to the Super 8 Motel in California for a reported robbery. Investigation revealed that the victim had been walking in the Wal-Mart parking lot towards the Super 8 Motel. A suspect ran at him and struck him in the back of the head with an unknown object, knocking him to the ground. The suspect then stole cash from the victim, and lifted his shirt to show the victim he had a gun in his waistband. The case remains open pending further investigation. (15-MSP-045187)

BURGLARY: On December 10, 2015 at 11:27 am, TFC Regina responded to the 29000 block of Prince Rd. in Mechanicsville for a reported burglary. Contact was made with the victim, who advised that an item had been removed from the master bedroom of the residence. Case remains open pending further investigation. (15-MSP-046034)

THEFT: On December 10, 2015 at 3:34 pm, Senior Trooper Evans responded to the Wal-Mart in California for a reported theft. The complainant advised that he witnessed the suspect, Christina Marie Butler, 24, of Ridge, walk through the store and hide several items in her clothing. Ms. Butler then attempted to exit the store with the unpaid merchandise. Ms. Butler was issued a "Notice Not to Trespass" and was transported to the Maryland State Police Leonardtown Barrack for processing. She was issued a criminal citation charging her with Theft Less than $100. (15-MSP-046073)

THEFT: On December 11, 2015 at 11:25 am, Sgt. Redmond took a report for the theft of a registration plate from a vehicle. There are no known suspects or witnesses. The case has been closed with no leads to follow (15-MSP-046182)

THEFT: On December 11, 2015 at 3:49 pm, Tpr. Holson was flagged down by a citizen at the corner of Route 5 and Golden Beach Road in Charlotte Hall. Upon making contact, the citizen informed Tpr. Holson that he had just been a victim of theft. The victim stated he was sitting next to the Allstate Insurance Company when a black car had pulled up beside him. A suspect exited the vehicle and grabbed his back pack. The suspect then proceeded to get back into the vehicle and drive off. Case remains open pending further investigation. (15-MSP-046216)

ASSAULT: On December 14, 2015 at 4:25 am, TFC Regina responded to the Fitzgerald Auto Mall in Lexington Park for a reported assault. Investigation revealed that an unknown suspect had assaulted a victim at the 21000 block of Cabot Place in Lexington Park. The case has been suspended due to lack of suspect information. THEFT: On December 16, 2015 at 2:00 pm, Tpr. Mulhearn responded to the Wal-Mart in California for a reported theft. The complainant advised that a female juvenile, 17, had placed several items in her purse and attempted to exit the store. The suspect was issued a "Notice Not to Trespass" and was charged with Theft Less than $100 on a Juvenile Release Form. She was released to a parent. (15-MSP-046908)

THEFT: On December 16, 2015 at 2:00 pm, TFC Ruth responded to the Wal-Mart in California for a reported theft. The complainant advised that Alexis Coryne Somerville, 18, of Lexington Park, had placed several items in her purse and attempted to exit the store. Ms. Somerville was issued a "Notice Not to Trespass" and a criminal citation charging her with Theft Less Than $1000. (15-MSP-046909)

THEFT: On December 17, 2015 at 4:50 pm, Tpr. Artis responded to the Kohl's Department Store in Lexington Park for a reported theft. Investigation revealed that Lucia Aracely Mena, 42, of Lexington Park had pulled tags off of cheaper items and placed the tags on more expensive items in the store to get the lower price. She was issued a Notice Not to Trespass and charged on a criminal citation for Theft Under $100. (15-MSP-047098)

DRUG ARREST: On December 18, 2015 at 11:30 pm, Tpr. Geyer initiated a traffic stop on an orange passenger car for a minor traffic violation. Tpr. Geyer made contact with the driver, Phillip Arndolph Adams, 36, of Mechanicsville, who had an active arrest warrant through the St. Mary's County Sheriff's Office. Mr. Adams was placed under arrest by St. Mary's County Deputies. Aprobable cause search was conducted, resulting in the recovery of suspected cocaine, marijuana, and paraphernalia. Mr. Adams was transported to the St. Mary's County Detention Center and held pending a bond review with the District Court Commissioner. (15-MSP-047200)
