MSP Trooper badgeLEONARDTOWN, Md. (Sept. 10, 2015)—The Leonardtown Barrack of the Maryland State Police (MSP) today released the following incident and arrest reports.

DRUG ARREST: On Tuesday, September 8, 2015, Cpl. K. Hunt responded to the area of Route 5 at Whirlwind Rd for a traffic complaint. Cpl. Hunt located the vehicle, a blue passenger car, and witnessed several minor traffic violations. Cpl. Hunt initiated a traffic stop on the vehicle on Rt. 5 at Indian Bridge Rd and made contact with the driver, Jennifer Jo Tharpe, 31, of Great Mills. A probable cause search resulted in the recovery of Methadone and Alprazolam. Ms. Tharpe was placed under and charged with Possession of a Controlled Dangerous Substance of Schedule 2 and Schedule 4. She was transported to the St. Mary's County Detention Center and held pending a bond review with the District Court Commissioner (15-MSP-032450)
