LEONARDTOWN, Md. (Sept. 10, 2015)—The St. Mary's County Sheriff's Office Vice Narcotics Division today released the following incident and arrest reports. The Division is an investigative team comprised of detectives from the St. Mary’s County Sheriff’s Office and Federal Drug Agents (HIDTA Group 34). The Division was established on September 1st, 2007.
COCAINE DISTRIBUTION: Detectives identified Danielyn Winder as a distributor of cocaine throughout Southern Maryland to include St. Mary's County. Undercover purchases of cocaine were conducted and detectives obtained a search and seizure warrant for the target's person and vehicle. Detectives observed suspect Winder on Great Mills Road and a Vice/Narcotics Support Team deputy made contact with him, placing him into custody pending execution of the search warrants. Suspect Winder, while handcuffed, fled on foot and was caught after a short chase by undercover officers.

A search of Winder's person and his vehicle yielded 66 individually packaged baggies of crack cocaine and two additional bags of both power and crack cocaine totaling approximately $8,000. In addition to the cocaine, multiple bottles of Promethazine and more than two and half ounces of marijuana, three cellular phones and nearly $3,000 in cash were recovered. Detective also seized Winder's 2001 Toyota. Winder is currently out on bail in Calvert County for Possession with Intent to Distribute and is scheduled to stand trial on those charges on December 9, 2015. Additional charges are expected after the investigation is reviewed with the state's attorney.
COCAINE DISTRIBUTION: Detectives began making undercover purchases of cocaine from Javon Lyzell Dickens, age 24, of California, in various locations throughout St. Mary's County. A search and seizure warrant was obtained and executed on his California residence. Detectives recovered marijuana, related paraphernalia, crack cocaine (street value $1,300), a digital scale with cocaine residue, more than $300.00 in cash and two cellular phones. A 2002 Ford Explorer was also seized.

A co-conspirator, identified as Courtney Ellen Lacey, age 21, was arrested along with Dickens. Additional charges are expected following a review with the state's attorney. Dickens is currently out on bail awaiting a trial for Possession with Intent to Distribute Cocaine and Marijuana which is set for October 13, 2015 in the Circuit Court for St. Mary's County.

A third suspect, Joseph Franklin Sullivan, age 20, of no fixed address, was inside the residence and a quantity of cocaine was recovered from his shoe.
