WASHINGTON (Aug. 21, 2015)The U.S. Department of Defense recently announced the following contract awards that pertain to local Navy activities or local companies.
Adams Communication & Engineering Technology Inc., Waldorf, Maryland (W56KGU-15-D-0013); DHPC Technologies Inc., Woodbridge, New Jersey (W56KGU-15-D-0014); Eoir Technologies Inc., Aberdeen, Maryland (W56KGU-15-D-0015); and Praxis Engineering Technologies Inc., Annapolis Junction, Maryland (W56KGU-15-D-0016), were awarded a $994,675,676 cost-plus-fixed-fee, indefinite-quantity/indefinite-delivery multiple award task order contract for support to the Intelligence and Information Warfare Directorate with an estimated completion date of May 7, 2018. Funding and work location will be determined with each order. Bids were solicited via the Internet with four received. Army Contracting Command, Aberdeen, Maryland, is the contracting activity.
Moog Inc., Space and Defense Group, East Aurora, New York, is being awarded a $30,662,608 indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity contract for aircraft-mounted gun actuation systems and related engineering and repair services. This acquisition will procure the motion-control solution for aircraft-mounted guns via actuators, actuator controllers, and related components. Also required are repair services for fielded systems; engineering and technical support services for design changes/improvements; platform interoperability evaluation and engineering; and installation- and testing-related travel. Work will be performed in East Aurora, New York, and is expected to be completed by September 2020. Fiscal 2015 procurement (defense agencies) funding in the amount of $3,966,159 will be obligated at time of award. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. This contract was not competitively procured, 10 U.S. Code 2304(c)(1) - only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements. Rockwell Collins Inc., Cedar Rapids, Iowa, is being awarded a $13,474,499 modification to a previously awarded firm-fixed-price contract (N00019-13-C-0004) to exercise an option for the manufacturing of one Block I modification aircraft kit and one very low frequency transmit terminal kit for the E-6B Mercury aircraft. Work will be performed in Richardson, Texas, and is expected to be completed in February 2017. Fiscal 2015 aircraft procurement (Navy) funds in the amount of $13,474,499 are being obligated on this award, none of which will expire at the end of the current fiscal year. The Naval Air Systems Command, Patuxent River, Maryland, is the contracting activity.
DRS Technical Services Inc., Herndon, Virginia, is being awarded a $54,168,789 firm-fixed-priced and cost-reimbursable contract for logistics support for maintaining and supporting the E-6B aircraft, and its associated support equipment. Work will be performed at Tinker Air Force Base, Oklahoma City, Oklahoma (70 percent); Offutt Air Force Base, Bellevue, Nebraska (10 percent); Travis Air Force Base, Fairfield, California (10 percent); and the Naval Air Station, Patuxent River, Maryland (10 percent), and is expected to be completed in October 2016. No funding will be obligated at time of award. This contract was competitively procured via an electronic request for proposals, and three offers were received.
