LEONARDTOWN, Md. (Aug. 8, 2015)—The Leonardtown Barrack of the Maryland State Police (MSP) released the following incident and arrest reports.
ASSAULT: On Wednesday, July 29, at 1:26 am, TFC W. Couter responded to the 26000 block of Harmony View Street in Mechanicsville for a reported assault. Investigation revealed Susanna M. Mathews, 60, of Mechanicsville, had assaulted a male victim in the home. Ms. Mathews was placed under arrest and transported to the St. Mary's County Detention Center. She was charged with Second Degree Assault and held pending a bond review with the District Court Commissioner. (15-MSP-026923)
DRUG ARREST: On Saturday, August 1, at 6:37 pm, Tpr. E. Krenik initiated a traffic stop on a gold SUV on Route 235 at Clover Hill Road. Tpr. Krenik made contact with the driver, David Richard Speakman, 21, of Leonardtown, a female passenger and two young children. Mr. Speakman advised there was marijuana in the vehicle and a probable cause search was conducted. The search resulted in the recovery of marijuana, paraphernalia and Alprazolam. Mr. Speakman was placed under arrest and transported to the St. Mary's County Detention Center. He was charged accordingly and held pending a bond review with the District Court Commissioner.
