MSP Reports for St. Mary's Co.


LEONARDTOWN, Md. (June 18, 2015)—The Leonardtown Barrack of the Maryland State Police (MSP) today released the following incident and arrest reports.

ASSAULT: On Sunday, June 7 at 1:13 am, Tpr. C. Ruth responded to the 46000 block of Yorktown Road for a reported domestic assault. Investigation revealed that Wanita D. Knott, 35, of Lexington Park, had assaulted a male victim. Ms. Knott was placed under arrest and transported to the St. Mary's County Detention Center. She was held pending a bond review with the District Court Commissioner. (15-MSP-019792)

THEFT: On Saturday, June 13 at 2:42 pm, Tpr. E. Krenik responded to MedStar St. Mary's Hospital for a reported theft from a vehicle. Surveillance video revealed that Gary M. Quade, 33, of Bushwood, had entered a vehicle in the parking lot and stolen prescription drugs and U.S. currency. Mr. Quade was placed under arrest and transported to the St. Mary's County Detention Center. He was charged with Rogue and Vagabond and Theft Less than $1000 and held pending a bond review with the District Court Commissioner. (15-MSP-020696)

DRUG ARREST: On Sunday, June 14 at 3:01 pm, Tpr. E. Krenik initiated a traffic stop on a vehicle for a minor traffic violation. The driver, James Eric Dorsey, 22, of Lexington Park, stated that he had marijuana in the vehicle. A probable cause search was conducted, resulting in the recovery of 20.1 grams of marijuana, paraphernalia, and packaging supplies. Mr. Dorsey was placed under arrest and transported to the Maryland State Police Leonardtown Barrack. A secondary search of his person was conducted, resulting in the recovery of cocaine. Mr. Dorsey was transported to the St. Mary's County Detention Center and charged with Possession with Intent to Distribute Marijuana, Possession to Distribute Narcotics (Cocaine), Possession of Marijuana, Possession of CDS Not Marijuana, and Possession of CDS Paraphernalia. He was held pending a bond review with the District Court Commissioner. (15-MSP-020850)
