MSP Major Crimes Investigations & Arrests


(May 29, 2015)—The Maryland State Police Criminal Enforcement Division, Central South Region, released the following incident and arrest reports.

Burglary

On May 15, Jessica Louise Johnson, 25, of Mechanicsville, and William Joseph Gross, 61, of Hollywood, were served at the St. Mary's County Detention Center with an open indictment. On May 18, Kyle Matthew Hudson, 23, of Hollywood was also served at the St. Mary's County Detention Center with an open indictment.

During a nine month investigation, investigators from MSP-CED-CSR identified Johnson, Hudson and Gross as suspects in a burglary of an occupied residence in the Hollywood area of St. Mary's County. Investigators learned Johnson, Hudson and Gross entered an occupied residence and stole a HP Laptop and an undisclosed amount of currency. Once Johnson and Gross observed the homeowner, they fled from the scene with the items; the homeowner was not injured.

On May 6, the St. Mary's County Grand Jury handed down indictments for Johnson, Hudson and Gross, charging them with First Degree Burglary, Conspiracy to Commit First Degree Burglary, Theft: $10,000 to $100,000 and Conspire to commit Theft: $10,000-$100,000.

Gross, Hudson and Johnson were incarcerated at the St. Mary's County Detention on unrelated charges.

This investigation was conducted in collaboration with MSP-Criminal Enforcement Division-Central South Investigators, Maryland State Police Leonardtown Barrack, Homeland Security Investigators (HSI) and the St. Mary's County States Attorney's Office.

Nineteen Year-old charged with having sexual intercourse with two juveniles

In April 2015, investigators from MSP-CED-CSR were contacted by troopers from the MSP-Leonardtown Barrack and informed of a sexual investigation involving Dustin Michael Mills, 19, from California, Md.

During the course of the investigation, investigators from CED learned that Mills began having sexual intercourse with a juvenile during the summer of 2014. In addition, it was learned that Mills was also having sexual intercourse with an additional juvenile starting in March 2015.

Evidence in this investigation was reviewed with the St. Mary's County States Attorney's Office. An arrest warrant was issued for Mills charging him with Second Degree Rape, two counts of Second Degree Assault, Third Degree Sex Offense and two counts of Fourth Degree Sex Offense.

On May 28, investigators from CED located Mills at his residence. He was taken into custody without incident and transported to the St. Mary's County Detention Center. Mills is currently being held on a $50,000 bond and a $10,000 bond.

The investigation was conducted in collaboration with MSP- Leonardtown Barrack, Homeland Security Investigations (HSI) and St. Mary's County States Attorney's Office.
