Carryout Driver Enjoys Special Delivery: $50,000 Lottery Prize

Wins with $1 Million Fortune scratch-off

A Waldorf carryout restaurant driver scooted up the highway to Maryland Lottery headquarters in Baltimore, but he wasn’t making a delivery. He was picking up a $50,000 prize!

The lucky 53-year-old man claimed his prize on a $1 Million Fortune scratch-off ticket that he purchased several weeks ago at BJ’s Wholesale Club #72. The store is located at 1000 St. Nicholas Drive in Waldorf.

The non-native English speaker, who was accompanied by a friend who translated for him, reports that he buys Lottery scratch-off tickets every now and then. He selects whatever ticket catches his eye. On the day he found his good fortune, the Charles County resident scratched the $20 $1 Million Fortune ticket in the store. When he saw he was a winner, he was “very happy” and asked the clerk where to claim his prize. The man has shared the exciting news with his family and plans to use his prize to pay off the loan on his new car.

The $1 Million Fortune game still has one $1 million top prize remaining and three $50,000 prizes awaiting discovery at Maryland Lottery retailers.
