Local Navy Contract Awards


WASHINGTON (April 9, 2015)—The U.S. Department of Defense recently announced the following contract awards that pertain to local Navy activities.

Northrop Grumman Systems Corp., Melbourne, Florida, is being awarded a $146,690,370 cost-plus-incentive-fee contract for the design, development, fabrication, assembly, integration, furnishing, test and evaluation support, and documentation for the following systems in support of the E-2D Advanced Hawkeye aircraft: Accelerated Mid-Term Interoperability Improvement Program; Secure Internet Protocol Router Chat; Multifunctional Information Distribution System Joint Tactical Radio System; and Cooperative Engagement Capability. Work will be performed in Melbourne, Florida (84.58 percent); Ronkonkoma, New York (4.8 percent); Bethpage, New York (2.5 percent); St. Augustine, Florida (1.85 percent); Boulder, Colorado (1.79 percent); Norfolk, Virginia (0.96 percent); Fort Wayne, Indiana (0.69 percent); Woodland Hills, California (0.64 percent); Owego, New York (0.4 percent); Torrance, California (0.19 percent); Carlsbad, California (0.1 percent); and various other locations within the United States (1.5 percent). Work is expected to be completed in June 2019. Fiscal 2015 research, development, test and evaluation (Navy) funds in the amount of $27,700,000 will be obligated at time of award, none of which will expire at the end of the current fiscal year. This contract was not competitively procured pursuant to FAR.6.302-1. The Naval Air Systems Command, Patuxent River, Maryland, is the contracting activity (N00019-15-C-0091).

Northrop Grumman Systems Corp., Herndon, Virginia, is being awarded a $12,211,431 modification to a previously awarded firm-fixed-price contract (N00019-12-C-0096) to manufacture, build and test two B Kits, including Weapons Replaceable Assemblies and antennas, for future installation into the E6-B aircraft. In addition, this modification provides for two B Kit Spare parts. Work will be performed in Salt Lake City, Utah, (77 percent), San Diego, California (20 percent), and Woodland Hills, California (3 percent), and is expected to be completed in December 2016. Fiscal 2015 aircraft procurement (Navy) funds in the amount of $12,211,431 are being obligated on this award, none of which will expire at the end of the current fiscal year. The Naval Air Systems Command, Patuxent River, Maryland, is the contracting activity.
