MSP Reports for St. Mary's Co.


LEONARDTOWN, Md. (Feb. 9, 2015)—The Leonardtown Barrack of the Maryland State Police (MSP) today released the following incident and arrest reports.

ASSAULT: On Wednesday, February 4, 2015 at 2:59 pm, TFC B. Ditoto responded to the 21000 block of St. Lo Place for a reported assault. Investigation revealed that David J. Spendolini, 37, of Lexington Park, had assaulted a female victim. Mr. Spendolini was placed under arrest for Second Degree Assault and transported to the St. Mary's County Detention Center. He was held pending a bond review with the District Court Commissioner. (15-MSP-004203)

DISORDERLY: On Thursday, February 5, 2015 at 11:49 am, Tpr. C. Ditoto responded to the Panera Bread in California for a reported disorderly subject. Investigation revealed that Alvin N. Thomas, 53, of Lexington Park, had caused a disturbance inside the restaurant. While speaking with Tpr. Ditoto outside of the restaurant, Mr. Thomas again became disorderly. He was placed under arrest and transported to the St. Mary's County Detention Center. He was held pending a bond review with the District Court Commissioner (15-MSP-004324)

THEFT: On Friday, February 5, 2015 at 5:38 pm, Cpl. M. Grimes responded to the 41000 block of New Market Turner Road for a reported theft. Investigation revealed that Tyler Wayne Simpkins, 23, of Hollywood, had stolen a credit card and made numerous purchases at area businesses. Mr. Simpkins was placed under arrest and transported to the St. Mary's County Detention Center. He was charged with Theft Under $1,000, Theft Scheme Under $1,000, and False Credit Card Charge Less Than $500 and held pending a bond review with the District Court Commissioner. (15-MSP-004363)

THEFT: On Thursday, February 6, 2015 at 2:50 pm, Tpr. A. Oyler responded to the Walmart in California for a reported theft. Investigation revealed that Sheila Lisa Miles, 42, and Aaron Xavier Shubrooks, 23, both of St. Inigoes, had concealed numerous items in bags they had brought into the store, bypassed all points of sale, and attempted to leave the store with the items. They were placed under arrest and transported to the St. Mary's County Detention Center. They were charged with Theft Under $1,000 and Theft Scheme. Both subjects were held pending a bond review with the District Court Commissioner. (15-MSP-004464)

CDS POSSESSION: On Friday, February 6, 2015 at 7:33 pm, TFC A. Oyler initiated a traffic stop on a red SUV for a minor traffic infraction. A search of the vehicle was conducted, resulting in the recovery of Suboxone. Leslie A. Alvey, 23, of Bushwood, was arrested and charged with Possession of CDS not Marijuana, Driving Under the Influence of CDS, Driving while Impaired by CDS, and various traffic offenses. She was transported to the St. Mary's County Detention Center and held pending a bond review with the District Court Commissioner. (15-MSP-004504)

DISORDERLY: On Sunday, February 8, 2015 at 4:32 pm, Tpr. A. Oyler responded to the DJ's One Stop for a reported disorderly subject loitering in the parking lot. Investigation revealed that Oliver H. Woods, 54, of Waldorf, was outside of the store approaching customers for money and transportation. Tpr. Oyler made contact with Mr. Woods, who was drinking an alcoholic beverage and appeared to be heavily intoxicated. Mr. Woods was placed under arrest for Disorderly Conduct, Disturbing the Peace, Consuming an Alcoholic Beverage in Public, Public Intoxication, and Possessing an Open Alcohol Container. He was transported to the St. Mary's County Detention Center and held pending a bond review with the District Court Commissioner. (15-MSP-004760)

ASSAULT: On Sunday, February 8, 2015 at 3:57 pm, Tpr. E. Krenik responded to the 45000 block of Jay Dee Court for a reported assault. Investigation revealed that Derrick Clifton Marshall, 36, of Lexington Park, had assaulted a female victim in front of numerous juveniles. Mr. Marshall was detained and escorted to Tpr. Krenik's patrol vehicle. As he was walking, Mr. Marshall began to shout profanities in front of the juveniles and several neighbors. He was placed in the patrol vehicle, and began to spit saliva onto the floor boards and doors of the patrol vehicle. Mr. Marshall was moved to the rear cage of a St. Mary's County Sheriff's Office Deputy and transported to the St. Mary's County Detention Center and charged with Assault Second Degree, Disorderly Conduct, Failure to Obey a Lawful Order, Disturbing the Peace, and Malicious Destruction of Property Less Than $500. While at the Detention Center, Mr. Marshall was served with an existing warrant stemming from incidents earlier in the week. He was held pending a bond review with the District Court Commissioner (15-MSP-004753)
