Personnel Changes in St. Mary's Co. Public Schools


LEONARDTOWN, Md. (Dec. 11, 2014)—The St. Mary's County Board of Education made the following administrative appointments at its meeting of Wednesday, December 10.

The Board appointed retired Captain David Randle as the Navy JROTC Instructor at Great Mills High School. Captain Randle holds a Bachelor's degree from the United States Naval Academy, a Master's degree from the Naval Postgraduate School and a Master's from the Industrial College of the Armed Forces.

The Board appointed Ms. Linda Ronniger as the Assistant Principal at Margaret Brent Middle School. Ms. Ronniger joined St. Mary's County Public Schools in August 2004 as a teacher at Leonardtown Elementary and in 2012 was named as the Instructional Resource Teacher at Lettie Marshall Dent Elementary. She holds a Bachelor's degree from St. Mary's College of Maryland and a Master's degree from Towson University.

The Board appointed Ms. Sandra Oliver as the Principal of Mechanicsville Elementary School. Ms. Oliver has teaching experience in New Jersey and Virginia, and served as Assistant Principal at Lettie Marshall Dent Elementary from 2007-2008, returning to St. Mary's County Public Schools in August 2010 as the Assistant Principal at Park Hall Elementary. She holds a Bachelor's degree from Moore College of Art and Design, a Master's degree from Drexel University and a Master's degree from Gwynedd-Mercy College.

These appointments become effective Monday, January 5, 2015.
