PRINCE FREDERICK, Md. (Dec. 1, 2014)The Prince Frederick Barrack of the Maryland State Police (MSP) today released the following incident and arrest reports.
POSSESSION OF MARIJUANA: On 11/25/2014 at 8:48 am, Trooper First Class Lewis stopped a vehicle on Rt. 4 near Town Center Blvd. in Dunkirk for traffic violations. A strong odor of raw marijuana was emitting from inside the vehicle. A probable cause search revealed marijuana and drug paraphernalia. Ryan A. Edes, 25, of Annapolis, received a Civil Citation and was released.
WARRANT SERVICE, POSSESSION OF SUBOXONE: On 11/25/2014 at 1:43 pm, Trooper First Class Barlow responded to the District Courthouse in Prince Frederick for a reported wanted subject waiting in the lobby. Nathanial E. Morando, 23, of Lusby, was located and arrested for the retake-warrant. A search incident to the arrest revealed Suboxone which Morando was not prescribed. Morando was additionally charged with possession CDS - not marijuana, and was incarcerated at the Calvert County Detention Center.
ATTEMPTED BURGLARY, DESTRUCTION OF PROPERTY: On 11/25/2014 at 11:57 pm, Trooper First Class Wiesemann responded to the 11800 block of Mill Bridge Rd. in Lusby for a reported burglary. An unknown suspect attempted to enter the residence by breaking a window. The occupants were able to scare the suspect away. Additional damage was noted on the victim's vehicle. Investigation continues.
POSSESSION OF MARIJUANA: On 11/26/2014 at 10:09 pm, Trooper First Class Esnes stopped a vehicle on Rt. 4 near the South Entrance of Main St. in Prince Frederick for traffic violations. A strong odor of burnt Marijuana was emitting from inside the vehicle. A probable cause search revealed suspected Marijuana. An MVA query revealed the driver, Corey R. Benford, 29, of Mitchellville, was driving on a suspended license. He was cited and released. The passenger, Mamud Sesay, 25, of Bowie, was issued a Civil Citation for possession of marijuana and was released.
POSSESSION OF MARIJUANA: On 11/28/2014 at 3:33 pm, Trooper First Class Oles stopped a vehicle on Rt. 4 near Monticello Dr. in Solomons for traffic violations. A strong odor of burnt Marijuana was emitting from inside the vehicle. A probable cause search revealed Marijuana in the ash tray and the center console of the vehicle. Andrew S. Borek, 22, of Baltimore, was issued Civil Citations and was released.
TELEPHONE MISUSE, HARASSMENT: On 11/29/2014 at 3:06 pm, Trooper First Class Oles received a telephone misuse/harassment complaint. The victim reported that her ex-husband had been harassing her with text messages. An Application for Statement of Charges has been requested for David L. Ward. Case remains open.
