Trinity Fitness Opens New Fitness Facility for Women
WALDORF—Trinity Fitness, a Southern Maryland-based fitness company, has announced the grand opening of their new women's facility, Trinity Fitness for her. The new facility aims to empower women to achieve their fitness goals and get a fresh start to exercise.
The expansion of the company was prompted by the response from the Southern Maryland community for a fitness facility exclusively for women. The space allows women who are more comfortable in a specialized gym atmosphere to take advantage of the programs and services that Trinity Fitness offers.
"We saw the need for a fitness facility that caters to beginner and intermediate women exercisers focusing specifically on strength training. Strength trainings is extremely important for all women, but unfortunately most women aren't sure where to start or how to do it safely. We hope to be the answer for all these women," said Kate Scott on why she and her husband Dave, co-owners of Trinity Fitness, opened the specialized facility.
The facility, which is located across the street from the company's main location, will offer a variety of strength-oriented group classes for beginner and intermediate levels. Members will also receive instruction from a team of caring and supportive staff members who are experienced in working with individuals of all ages and fitness levels. In addition to fitness, members will also have the opportunity to build on their foundation of health by learning the healthy approach to nutrition and fat loss.
The new facility is located at 4413 Southern Business Park Drive in White Plains, Maryland, which will also serve at the site for the Eat Smart Program, the 12-week fat loss program designed by Co-Owner and Registered Dietician Kate Scott.

Husband and Wife Team Launch Mr. Handyman Franchise to Meet Rising Demand for Home Improvement Services in Southern Maryland
BRANDYWINE—In response to the increased demand for residential maintenance and repair services, local entrepreneurs Race and Joyce Dowling opened Mr. Handyman of Ft. Washington and Clinton. This location is part of North Americas largest full-service home repair franchise and the number one employer of handymen nationwide.
Following a career as Chief Technology Officer and Chief Operating Officer for a government contractor, Race and his wife Joyce with her 25 years experience as a small business owner decided to explore business ownership opportunities that aligned with their customer-centric ideals and hobbies. With relatives in the construction industry and having completely renovated and restored their own historical home in Brandywine, the duo knew Mr. Handymans service offerings aligned with their skills. Taken by the companys dedication to customer service and franchisee support system, the Dowlings decided to bring the nationally recognized handyman company to the area. The Dowlings are excited to service their surrounding communities for all home improvement needs.
Renovation expenditures are forecasted to total almost $60 billion annually. For millions of homeowners tending to these nagging repairs while balancing work and family has created a thriving demand for professional, safe and reliable home-repair services. This growth will also bring office and technician jobs to the area.
The steady increase of existing home sales and prices reflect a healthy rebound in the housing market, said Race Dowling. As a result, the demand for home improvement services in the area has increased as well. Our goal is to help area residents shrink those nagging to-do lists on the refrigerator.
Service will be provided to Ft. Washington, Clinton, Upper Marlboro and across the remaining area of southern Prince Georges and northern Charles Counties.
