MSP Reports for St. Mary's Co.


LEONARDTOWN, Md. (Oct. 21, 2014)—The Leonardtown Barrack of the Maryland State Police (MSP) today released the following incident and arrest reports.

ASSAULT: On Saturday, October 11 at 12:31 am, Tpr. E. Krenik responded to the 26000 block of Independence Drive for a reported domestic disturbance. Investigation revealed that Kelly E. Braxton, 32, of Mechanicsville, had been involved in a physical altercation with a male victim. Ms. Braxton assaulted the male victim, then assaulted a second male victim who attempted to intervene. Two children were present during the altercation. Ms. Braxton was transported to the St. Mary's County Detention Center where she was charged with two counts of 2nd Degree Assault and Committing a Crime of Violence in the Presence of a Minor. She was held pending a bond review with the District Court Commissioner. (14-MSP-033217)

THEFT: On Saturday, October 11 at 1:00 pm, Tpr. C. Ruth responded to the Belk for a reported theft. Tpr. Ruth made contact with the Loss Prevention Officer, who advised that two suspects had attempted to steal jewelry and clothing. Mary Estella Hawkins, 46, and Sean Hunter, 48, both of Lusby, were arrested for Theft less than $1000. They were transported to the St. Mary's County Detention Center, where they were held pending a bond review with the District Court Commissioner. (14-MSP-033219)

THEFT: On Sunday, October 19 at 3:53 pm, Tpr. C. Ruth responded to the Wal-Mart for a reported theft. Tpr. Ruth made contact with the Loss Prevention Officer, who advised that Jonathan M. Housley, 26, of California, had attempted to steal miscellaneous DVDs, Blu-ray disks, and game cards. Mr. Housley was arrested for Theft less than $1,000 and transported to the St. Mary's County Detention Center. He was held pending a bond review with the District Court Commissioner. (14-MSP-034322)

Marquette Lee Jones, 34, of Waldorf, served on 10/13/14 at 8:25 pm for Failure to Appear in Court (2014-00382313)

Jeremy D. Overby, 23, of Lothian, served on 10/14/14 at 10:00 pm for Failure to Appear in Court (2014-00383616)
