LEONARDTOWN, Md. (Oct. 8, 2014)The Leonardtown Barrack of the Maryland State Police (MSP) released the following incident and arrest reports.
ASSAULT: On Saturday, October 4, 2014 at 6:39 pm, Tpr. A. Oyler responded to the Rite Aid in Charlotte Hall for a report of an assault. Investigation revealed that James Anthony Lawrence, 36, of Mechanicsville, had assaulted a female victim in the parking lot. Mr. Lawrence was arrested and charged with Assault - Second Degree. He was transported to the St. Mary's County Detention Center and held pending a bond review with the District Court Commissioner. (14-MSP-032458)
CHILD ENDANGERMENT: On Sunday, October 5, 2014 at 4:06 pm, Tpr. E. Krenik responded to the McKay's Supermarket in Hollywood for a reported unattended child in a vehicle. He arrived on scene and observed a three year old child sleeping in a gray truck. The outside temperature was approximately 65 degrees Fahrenheit. Tpr. Krenik located the father of the child, Kelly Martin Selby, 45, of Hollywood, inside the McKay's Supermarket and detected the strong odor of an alcoholic beverage on his breath. Mr. Selby was arrested and charged with Confine Unattended Child and Intoxicated Endangerment. He was transported to the St. Mary's County Detention Center and held pending a bond review with the District Court Commissioner. The child was in good health and turned over to the custody of his mother. (14-MSP-032557)
