MSP Reports for St. Mary's Co.


LEONARDTOWN, Md. (July 31, 2014)—The Leonardtown Barrack of the Maryland State Police (MSP) today released the following incident and arrest reports.

ASSAULT: On Tuesday, July 29 at 11:33 pm, Tpr. A. Oyler responded to the 21000 block of Ronald Drive for a domestic disturbance. Investigation revealed that Michael Edwin Jones, 39, of Lexington Park and a male juvenile, 15, of Lexington Park had engaged in an altercation and had assaulted each other. The juvenile was arrested for Assault - First Degree and Second Degree. He was transported to the Maryland State Police Leonardtown Barrack for processing and later released. Mr. Jones was arrested for Assault Second Degree and transported to the St. Mary's County Detention Center. He was held pending a bond review with the District Court Commissioner. (14-MSP-023886)

ASSAULT ON POLICE: On Thursday, July 31 at 3:57 am, Tpr. A. Oyler responded to the 37000 block of East Lakeland Drive for the report of an active domestic assault. Upon arrival, Dana Leigh Belkov, 30, of Mechanicsville, became combative, and a brief struggle ensued. Ms. Belkov was placed under arrest and evaluated by Mechanicsville Volunteer Rescue Squad and the St. Mary's County Advanced Life Support Unit. Investigation revealed that no domestic assault had taken place. Ms. Belkov was transported to St. Mary's County Hospital. Upon discharge, she was transported to the St. Mary's County Detention Center and charged with Assault Second Degree on Police Officer and Resisting Arrest. She was held pending a bond review with the District Court Commissioner. (14-MSP-024015)
