Holmes-Tucker International, Inc., Names Dorothy Hammond as CEO

LEXINGTON PARK, Md. (July 29, 2014)—Holmes-Tucker International, Inc. (HTII) announced today that its Board of Directors has appointed Dorothy Hammond as Chief Executive Officer.

Hammond previously held the position of Chief Financial Officer at HTII. She replaces former CEO Robert Pastusek, a retired Air Force colonel who served as weapons systems officer on the F-111 Aardvark and F-4 Phantom during his military career.

"Dorothy has been effectively running this company for the last few months while I focused on technical issues related to new contracts," Pastusek said. "Her management ability is well established, and the transition to her new leadership position has effectively taken place."

Hammond joined HTII in 2004 as a budget analyst and was promoted to CFO in 2008. Besides keeping track of the financial complexities of the company's military contracts, she headed the development of a breakthrough web application and database for Navy and Marine Corps aircraft facilities. Known as NAVAIR Ship/Shore Aviation Requirements (SSAR), the system is now the official tool of record for managing support requirements for new NAVAIR weapons programs.

"I'm honored to be chosen to head this talented and creative group of people," Hammond said. "We provide our customers innovative products and services that greatly reduce their data-management burden - saving time and money and making significant improvements in accuracy."

Besides HTII's customer services, one of the company's most important attributes is its family-friendly focus, Hammond said. "Our employees and their family concerns are high on our priorities list, and we try to treat each other as members of a corporate family."

Hammond's own family includes five children and seven grandchildren. She lives in Valley Lee, MD, with her husband, retired U.S. Navy Captain Richard Hammond.

Founded in 1989, Holmes-Tucker International, Inc., develops and records system management knowledge. The company develops tools and processes to transform requirements and test data into actionable information. HTII is a long-established leader in the complex field of requirements management and database development for military aircraft research, development, test, evaluation and acquisition.
