St. Mary's Co. Sheriff's Reports


LEONARDTOWN, Md. (May 12, 2014)—The St. Mary's County Sheriff's Office released the following incident and arrest reports.

5/9/2014 CHILD NEGLECT: A complainant reported finding a 2 year old walking unattended on Heather Street in Great Mills. The toddler was not injured and the family was located. Department of Social Services responded. Deputy Potter is assigned the investigation. Case #25028-14

5/10/2014 ROBBERY: A victim reported he was walking in the area of the Comfort Inn and Suites in Lexington Park, when an unidentified black male suspect pointed a handgun at him and demanded property. The suspect then fled on foot. The victim was not injured. Case forwarded to the Criminal Investigation Division. Case #25071-14

5/10/2014 ROBBERY: Two victims were behind the La Quinta Inn located in Lexington Park, when they were approached by an unidentified black male suspect. The suspect produced a handgun and demanded property from the victims. No injuries were reported. The suspect then fled on foot. Case forwarded to the Criminal Investigation Division. Case #25083-14

5/10/2014 ROBBERY: A victim reported he was walking in the rear parking lot of the Texas Roadhouse located in California, when he was approached by an unidentified black male suspect with a handgun. The suspect struck the victim in the head and stole property from him before fleeing on foot. Case forwarded to the Criminal Investigation Division. Case #25250-14

5/11/2014 PROPERTY DESTRUCTION: Several street signs were pulled from the ground in thrown down in the area of Rivers Springs Road and Colton’s Point Road in Chaptico. Case remains open. Case #25305-14

5/11/2014 BURGLARY TO MOTOR VEHICLE: A victim, who resides on Stark Drive in Piney Point, reported unknown suspect(s) entered her unlocked vehicle and stole property. Case remains open and is assigned to Corporal Connelly. Case #25328-2014

5/11/2014 BURGLARY TO MOTOR VEHICLE: A victim, who resides at a residence on Stark Drive in Piney Point, reported unknown suspect(s) entered his unlocked vehicle and stole property. Case remains open and is assigned to Deputy Potter. Case #25332-14

5/11/2014 BURGLARY TO MOTOR VEHICLE: A victim, who resides at a residence on Stark Drive in Piney Point, reported unknown suspect(s) entered his unlocked vehicle and stole property. Case remains open and is assigned to Corporal Connelly. Case #25335-14

5/11/2014 BURGLARY: A victim, who resides on Allison Circle in Mechanicsville, reported unknown suspect(s) entered his detached garage and stole several items of property. Case remains open and is assigned to Deputy Manns. Case #25372-14

5/11/2014 ROBBERY: On May 9, 2014 at 1:29 A.M. Patrol units from the St. Mary's County Sheriff's Office responded to the area of Spinnaker Circle in Lexington Park, MD for a report of an armed robbery. Deputies made contact with 2 victims who informed them 2 unknown male suspects had approached and attempted to rob them as they were seated in a vehicle in the area. The victims were ultimately able to flee from the area suffering only minor injuries. The Criminal Investigations Division has assumed the investigation and is asking anyone with information regarding this incident to contact Detective Cory Ellis at301-475-4200 Ext. 9125.
