MSP Reports for St. Mary's Co.


LEONARDTOWN, Md. (March 6, 2014)—The Leonardtown Barrack of the Maryland State Police (MSP) today released the following incident and arrest reports.

DRUG ARREST: On Tuesday, February 18 at 11:34 am, Trooper E. Krenik initiated a traffic stop on a white truck on Route 5 and Route 247 for a traffic violation. A probable cause search was conducted, resulting in the recovery of CDS. The driver, Christopher Cote Johnson, 27, of Mechanicsville, was placed under arrest and charged with Possession of Marijuana and Paraphernalia. Mr. Johnson was transported to the Leonardtown Barrack where he was charged accordingly and later released.

WARRANT SERVICE, DRUG ARREST: On Friday, February 21 at 1:08 am, Tpr. W. Couter initiated a traffic stop on a black passenger car on Route 246 and Indian Way for a minor traffic violation. The passenger, Craig Ryan Scopin, 24, of Lexington Park, had an outstanding warrant through Prince George's County Sheriff's Office for Second Degree Burglary. Search incident to arrest revealed suspected marijuana and paraphernalia. Mr. Scopin was transported to the Leonardtown Barrack for processing on the CDS charges, and then transferred to a Trooper assigned to the Forestville Barrack to be served with the open warrant.

THEFT, DRUG ARREST: On Friday, February 21 at 4:19 pm, TFC S. Ditoto responded to the J.C. Penney located in California for a reported theft. Sarah Jeanne Lucas, 25, of Lusby, had attempted to exit the store with several items of clothing. Search incident to arrest revealed suspected cocaine and prescription medications. Ms. Lucas was transported to the St. Mary's County Detention Center. She was charged accordingly and held pending a bond review with the District Court Commissioner.

Stephanie Lynn Arnold, 39, of Leonardtown, served on 3/1/2014 at 11:45 pm for Failure to Appear in court by TFC M. Pitcher.

Dylan Andrew Sedgewick, 20, of Lexington Park, served on 3/4/2014 at 4:00 am for Failure to Appear in court by TFC M. Pitcher.

Cassidy Frank Ellison Bean, 29, of Hollywood, served on 3/5/2014 at 7:20 am for Failing to Follow Conditions of Probation by TFC J. Gibson.

Aaron Franklin Carpenter, 42, of Brandywine, served on 3/5/2014 at 10:00 am for Failure to Appear in court by TFC N. Gresko.
