LA PLATA, Md. (Feb. 5, 2014)—The Charles County Sheriff's Office released the following incident and arrest reports.

CRIME SOLVERS OFFERS REWARD IN MAIL THEFT CASES: On Feb. 3 at 7:55 a.m., officers responded to the 2100 block of Everett Court in Waldorf for the report of a mail theft that just occurred. Unknown suspects in a dark colored sedan stole outgoing mail from a personal mailbox. Officers canvassed the area but the suspects were gone. The suspect vehicle is described as a large, black, four-door sedan with dark tinted glass and a left front hub cap missing. Anyone with information is asked to call Officer C. BURGLARY: Sometime between Jan. 31 and Feb. 1, someone broke into a trailer in the 200 block of Brent Road in Waldorf and removed property. PFC D. Walker is investigating.

OFFICERS RECOVER POSSIBLE STOLEN ITEMS: On Feb. 1 at 3:58 a.m., officers were dispatched to the area of Copley Avenue and Stoddert Avenue in Waldorf for the report of a suspicious vehicle. The occupants of a pick-up truck parked their vehicle and went to the backyard of a nearby house. Shortly after, the suspects returned carrying items which they put in the bed of the truck. PFC C. Harris and Sgt. J. Burroughs observed the vehicle and attempted to stop it at Clark Avenue and Garner Avenue, but the driver fled. A passenger threw something out of the truck and then another passenger jumped out. The vehicle stopped further down the road. Officers approached and found a large bag containing marijuana, drug paraphernalia, lawn equipment, and several tool boxes in the truck. Canine officer C. Shaw and his canine partner tracked the occupant who jumped from the truck, but the trail stopped several blocks away. Investigation showed the tools and lawn equipment may have been stolen and officers are pursuing leads to identify the owner. Demetrius Antoine McKinney, 31, of Leonardtown; Eric Lamont Figeroux, Jr., 18, of Waldorf; and Amani Joie Brooks, 28, of Clinton were charged with possession with intent to distribute drugs. The driver, McKinney, was also charged with multiple traffic violations.

MAN CHARGED WITH FIRST-DEGREE ASSAULT: On Jan. 31 at 6:30 p.m., officers responded to the 1500 block of Bryan Court in Waldorf for the report of an assault between acquaintances. Upon arrival, officers located a 57-year-old male inside a townhouse suffering from stab wounds. The victim was transported to a hospital where he was admitted with serious injuries. Officers located the suspect, Kenny Earl Morris, 53, of Waldorf, inside the house. Detectives responded and learned the victim and suspect, who are known to each other, were inside the suspect's townhouse when they began arguing over a parking space; the suspect claimed the victim parked in his spot. During the argument, the suspect grabbed a knife and stabbed the victim several times. Morris was arrested and charged with attempted murder, first-degree assault and second-degree assault. Det. G. Higgs is investigating.

ROBBERY: On Jan 31 at 10 p.m., officers responded to the 2600 block of Lacrosse Place in Waldorf for the report of a robbery. Investigation showed the suspect approached the victim as she was getting out of her car, displayed a gun and demanded her purse. The victim refused and the suspect grabbed her purse from the front seat of the car. The suspect is in his late teens to early twenties, 5'6", 160 lbs., wearing a black and red cap. Officer A. Fenlon is investigating.
