Coherent Technical Services, Inc. (CTSi) Receives First Patent
LEXINGTON PARK—Coherent Technical Services, Inc. (CTSi), Headquartered in Lexington Park, announced that they received a patent on December 31, 2013 for their “Selective Multi-Modal Transmission Alteration” technology. The inventors named in US patent number 8,619,792 B1 are Mr. Ian Gallimore and Mr. Jared Marmen, both long term CTSi employees.
CTSi began development of the now patented technology in 2007 under a U.S. Army Small Business Innovative Research (SBIR) contract titled Multiplex Data Bus Controller, Translator and Transmitter, or Mudbucket®. The Mudbucket provides the means to transparently manipulate MIL-STD-1553 data on a host platform’s databus, offering developers, integrators and testers new capabilities not available until now. Revenue for the technology has surpassed $14M to date, with several new projects in various stages of development with industry and government partners.
St. Charles Companies Names Matthew M. Martin as President
ST. CHARLES—The St. Charles Companies announced the promotion of Matthew M. Martin to President of the Southern Maryland-based company. Martin, who has served as CFO of St. Charles Companies since 2008, will oversee the day to day operations of the development of the master planned community of St. Charles, and will continue to ensure the success of the firm’s lot delivery, sales and marketing, and financial performance objectives.

Martin joined St. Charles Companies in 2005 as Chief Accounting Officer and was appointed Chief Financial Officer in August 2008. Martin, a 1997 magna cum laude graduate of Messiah College in Pennsylvania, is a registered and licensed CPA and a Certified Fraud Examiner. Prior to joining St. Charles Companies, Martin was a manager in the Forensic Litigation Consulting practice for FTI Consulting, Inc., in Washington, DC. Prior to that, Martin managed audits of publicly traded companies for the Arthur Andersen LLP accounting firm.
