Charles Co. Sheriff's Reports


LA PLATA, Md. (Jan. 29, 2014)—The Charles County Sheriff's Office released the following incident and arrest reports.

THEFT: Sometime between Dec. 29 to Jan. 21, someone stole parts to an air conditioner at a church in the 8100 block of Annapolis Woods Road in Welcome. PFC. J. Riffle is investigating.

THEFT OF ATV: On Jan. 27, between 10 a.m. to 12 p.m., someone broke into an open garage in the 7500 block of Chicamuxen Road in Indian Head and stole a 1993 black Kawasaki Bayou KLF 300 ATV. There were tracks from the ATV in the snow on the center of the driveway but is not known if the ATV was driven or pushed to the road where it may have been driven away or loaded into a vehicle. PFC D. Benthin is investigating.

THEFT: Sometime on January 27, someone stole parts to a heat pump from a vacant house in the 2300 block of Windsor Park Court in Waldorf. CPL. R. Heishman is investigating.

BURGLARY: On Jan. 26 at 10:37 p.m., someone broke into a house in the 3400 block of White Fir Court in Waldorf. The homeowner heard a noise and when she investigated, she observed a male in the stairway. The homeowner yelled and the suspect fled. Officers found the rear door had been forced open. PFC M. Mellott is investigating.
