LEONARDTOWN, Md. (Jan. 6, 2014)The Leonardtown Barrack of the Maryland State Police (MSP) today released the following incident and arrest reports.
DOMESTIC ASSAULT: On Saturday, December 28, 2013 at 2:23 pm, TFC S. Ditoto responded to the area of Route 235 and Mervell Dean Road for a reported assault. Investigation revealed that Cristal Elena Gomez, 19, of Gaithersburg had engaged in an altercation with a male victim. Ms. Gomez used a knife and threatened to kill the male victim. She was arrested for Assault First Degree and was transported to the St. Mary's County Detention Center. She was held pending a bond review with the District Court Commissioner.
DRUG ARREST: On Saturday, December 28, 2013 at 11:31 pm, Tpr. D. Buckalew initiated a traffic stop on a red sport utility vehicle on Route 5 at Route 245 for a minor traffic infraction. A probable cause search of the vehicle was conducted, resulting in the recovery of CDS. Sarah Hannah Speakman, 18, of Leonardtown was arrested and charged with CDS Possession - Marijuana. She was transported to the Maryland State Police Leonardtown Barrack for processing and later released.
WARRANT SERVICE: On Saturday, January 4, 2014 at 1:45 pm, Cpl. J. Fleetwood served a Bench Warrant (T3-16324) on Jacob Ryan Buitron, 28, of Mechanicsville. The warrant was issued by the District Court of Charles County with an original charge of Driving on a Suspended License on January 2, 2014. Mr. Buitron was located in Mechanicsville. He was placed under arrest and transported to the St. Mary's County Detention Center. He was served and held pending a bond review with the District Court Commissioner.
WARRANT SERVICE: On Friday, January 3, 2014 at 11:00 pm, TFC M. Pitcher served an Arrest Warrant (T3-16320) on Joyce Ann Dunn, 52, of Lexington Park. The warrant was issued by the District Court of St. Mary's County with a charge of Burglary - First Degree on December 28, 2013. Ms. Dunn was located in Callaway. She was placed under arrest and transported to the St. Mary's County Detention Center. She was served and held pending a bond review with the District Court Commissioner.
