LEONARDTOWN, Md. (Jan. 3, 2014)—The Leonardtown Barrack of the Maryland State Police (MSP) today released the following incident and arrest reports.
DOMESTIC ASSAULT: On Wednesday, December 18, 2013 at 4:13 pm, Tpr. D. Buckalew responded to the 23000 block of Hidden View Lane, Hollywood for a reported assault. Investigation revealed that Eric Gonilee Reed, 47, of Hollywood, had engaged in an altercation with a female victim at the residence and assaulted the victim. Mr. Reed was arrested for Assault Second Degree and was transported to the St. Mary's County Detention Center. He was held pending a bond review with the District Court Commissioner.
DRUG ARREST: On Saturday, December 21, 2013 at 3:08 pm, Tpr. D. Buckalew responded to the area of Rt. 242 and Milestown Oak Lane, Bushwood, for a reported traffic complaint involving a silver passenger car. He located the vehicle and made contact with the driver, Lawrence Alvin Hoffman, 19, of Hollywood. A probable cause search of the vehicle and driver was conducted, resulting in the recovery of suspected marijuana, suspected Oxycodone, and a digital scale containing suspected marijuana. Mr. Hoffman was arrested and charged with Possession of CDS and Paraphernalia. He was transported to the St. Mary's County Detention Center and held pending a bond review with the District Court Commissioner.
DOMESTIC ASSAULT: On Sunday, December 22, 2013 at 4:51 pm, TFC E. Reuschling responded to the 40000 block of Breton View Drive, Leonardtown, for a reported assault. Investigation revealed that Jessica Lynn Cook, 24, of Leonardtown had engaged in an altercation with a female victim at the residence and assaulted the victim. Ms. Cook was arrested for Assault Second Degree and was transported to the St. Mary's County Detention Center. She was held pending a bond review with the District Court Commissioner.
THEFT: On Sunday, December 22, 2013 at 5:01 pm, Tpr. W. Couter responded to the Wal-Mart located in California for a reported theft. Sarah Christina Rice, 32, of Saint Leonard, was arrested for Theft Under $1000. Ms. Rice was transported to the Maryland State Police Barrack in Leonardtown. She was charged accordingly and later released.
WARRANT SERVICE: On Friday, December 27, 2013 at 10:30 am, TFC M. Pitcher served a Bench Warrant (T3-16315) on Larry M. Thomas, 29, of Lexington Park. The warrant was issued by the Circuit Court of St. Mary's County with an original charge of Failure to Appear for Violation of Probation Hearing on December 23, 2013. Mr. Thomas was located at the St. Mary's County Detention Center, where he was already incarcerated. He was served and held pending a bond review with the District Court Commissioner.
WARRANT SERVICE: On Monday, December 30, 2013 at 6:00 pm, TFC J. Gibson served a Bench Warrant (T3-16123) on Christopher M. McGill, 29, of Vienna, Va. The warrant was issued by the District Court of St. Mary's County with an original charge of Driving without a License on August 14, 2013. Mr. McGill was located at the Calvert County Detention Center and transported to the St. Mary's County Detention Center. He was served and held pending a bond review with the District Court Commissioner.
