LA PLATA, Md. (Jan. 2, 2014)The Charles County Sheriff's Office today released the following incident and arrest reports.
CRITICAL MISSING TEENAGER FOUND SAFE: On January 2 at 8:30 a.m., a missing autistic teenager - who had been reported missing to the Charles County Sheriff's Office on Jan 1 at 10 p.m. from the 11900 block of Acton Lane in Waldorf - was located at Miller's Farm in the 10400 block of Piscataway Road in Clinton, MD. The teen was spotted by an off-duty police officer who noticed the teen seemed disoriented. Prince George's County Police responded and ran a computer check revealing the teen had been reported missing. The teen was safe and unharmed and was re-united with his family.
THEFT: Sometime between Jan. 1 and Jan 2, someone stole four wheels and rims from a car parked in the 3400 block of Tulip Tree Court in Waldorf. The suspect(s) also stole a GPS which was inside the vehicle. Officer J. Hatfield is investigating.
THEFTS FROM STORAGE LOT: Sometime between Dec. 27 and Jan. 1, someone stole the exhaust from a tractor trailer truck which was parked at a storage lot in the 2400 block of Crain Highway in Waldorf. Stereos, televisions and other items were stolen from the storage lot as well. PFC P. DeBoe is investigating.
THEFT OF HVAC UNIT: On Dec. 31, a homeowner reported someone had stolen an HVAC from the rear of a vacant house in the 3400 block of Maddox Court in Waldorf. Officer S. Hooper is investigating.
DESTRUCTION OF PROPERTY: On Dec. 30, during the overnight hours, someone destroyed two mailboxes in the 5700 block of Goode Road in Hughesville. Officer A. Duckett is investigating.
