MSP Reports for St. Mary's Co.


LEONARDTOWN, Md. (Aug. 15, 2013)—The Leonardtown Barrack of the Maryland State Police (MSP) today released the following incident and arrest reports.

CDS ARREST: On Sunday, August 11 at 10:25am, TFC E. Mersman initiated a traffic stop on a silver passenger car on Route 246 and Tri Community Way for a minor traffic infraction. While speaking with the driver, Bernard Aloysius Banks, 24, of Lexington Park, an odor of marijuana was detected. A search of the driver and the vehicle was conducted and led to the recovery of CDS. Mr. Banks was placed under arrest and transported to the Maryland State Police, Leonardtown Barrack. He was charged with possession of CDS and possession of CDS paraphernalia and later released.

THEFT: On Sunday, August 11 at 5:03pm, TFC E. Evans responded to the Wal-Mart Store located in California, Maryland for a reported theft. Jesse Marie Jameson, 22, of Lexington Park, was placed under arrest and transported to the Maryland State Police, Leonardtown Barrack. She was charged with Theft under $100 and later released.

DISORDERLY CONDUCT: On Monday, August 12 at 3:44 pm, TFC E. Evans responded to Radford Lane, Lexington Park, Maryland for a reported disturbance. Upon his arrival, he observed Kevin Ernest Bryant, 46, of Lexington Park, acting in a disorderly manner. Mr. Bryant continued to act disorderly after being asked to stop numerous times. Mr. Bryant was subsequently placed under arrest and transported to the Maryland State Police, Leonardtown Barrack. He was charged with Disorderly Conduct and later released.

WARRANT SERVICE: On Tuesday, August 13 at 7:55am, TFC E. Mersman served a Bench Warrant (T3-16120) on Wendell Mathis, 43, of Washington, DC. The warrant was issued by the District Court of Prince George’s County with original charges of Driving while Suspended and Driving under the Influence of Alcohol on March 13. Mr. Mathis was located during a traffic stop on Route 246 at Essex Drive and placed under arrest. He was transported to the St. Mary’s County Detention Center and held pending a bond review with the District Court Commissioner.

THEFT: On Tuesday, August 13 at 8:07am, TFC E. Reuschling responded to Brandywine Auto Parts, located in Mechanicsville, for a reported theft of an American flag. Dwayne Anthony Thompson, 50, of Loveville, was placed under arrest charged with Theft under $100. Mr. Thompson was transported to the Maryland State Police, Leonardtown Barrack for processing and later released.

WARRANT SERVICE: On Tuesday, August 13 at 3:30pm, Tpr B. Weber served a Bench Warrant (T3-16088) on Oliver Antimo Drew, 34, of Lusby. The warrant was issued by the District Court of St. Mary’s County with an original charge of Driving under the Influence of Alcohol on July 15. Mr. Drew was located in Prince George’s County, placed under arrest, and transported to the St. Mary’s County Detention Center. He was served and held pending a bond review with the District Court Commissioner.

WARRANT SERVICE: On Wednesday, August 14 at 11:14am, Cpl J. Fleetwood served a Warrant (T3-16051) on Christopher Peterson, 40, of Fredericksburg, Va. The warrant was issued by the Circuit Court of St. Mary’s County with the original charge of Violation of Probation on June 11. Mr. Peterson was located at the Rappahannock Regional Jail and was released to Cpl Fleetwood. Mr. Peterson was transported to the St. Mary’s County Detention Center where he was served and held pending a bond review with the District Court Commissioner.

WARRANT SERVICE: On Wednesday, August 14 at 7:35pm, TFC R. Jackson served two Bench Warrants (T3-16109 and T3-16110) on Jason Alan Decker, 22, of Hughesville. The warrants were issued by the District Court of St. Mary’s County with original charges of Violation of Probation on June 7. Mr. Decker was located in Charles County and placed under arrest. He was transported to the St. Mary’s County Detention Center and held pending a bond review with the District Court Commissioner.
