Drug Arrests in St. Mary's County


LEONARDTOWN, Md. (April 23, 2013)—The St. Mary's County Bureau of Criminal Investigations (BCI) Narcotics Division released the following incident and arrest reports. The Division is an investigative team comprised of detectives from the St. Mary’s County Sheriff’s Office, Maryland State Police Drug Enforcement Division, and Federal Drug Agents (HIDTA Group 34). The Division was established on September 1st, 2007 and is based in St. Mary’s County.

OXYCODONE, ALPRAZOLAM: Detectives observed a drug transaction in the parking lot of a Charlotte Hall business. The suspects were identified as Haden Kirk Moyer, 21 of Charlotte Hall, and Taylor Steven Sargent, 21 of Schnecksville, Pa. Suspect Sargent was observed giving money to Suspect Moyer before he began to use the Oxycodone he had just purchased. Recovered items included 15 Oxycodone tablets, 17 Alprazolam tablets, syringes, spoons, cellular phones and cash. Both parties were charged with the drug offenses and additional charges are pending a State's Attorney's Office review.

PHARMACY BURGLARIES: Christopher Aloysius Guy, a/k/a "Shifty," 28 of Mechanicsville, was indicted and charged with numerous counts of theft, burglary, conspiracy and drug possession charges stemming from two burglaries of a Mechanicsville pharmacy. He was being held on the additional charges without bond.

OXYCODONE: Steven Michael Otto, 28 of Hollywood, was indicted and charged with Possession of Oxycodone with the Intent to Distribute. He is currently incarcerated on unrelated drug charges.

COCAINE: Calverio Terrill Somerville, 24 of Leonardtown, was identified as a distributor of cocaine. Vice Narcotics detectives made several undercover purchases of cocaine from Suspect Somerville and he was subsequently indicated and arrested.

HEROIN: Jason Michael Reintzell, 35 of Lexington Park, was served an indictment for Reckless Endangerment and Distribution of Heroin. The charges are a result of an investigation into a recent heroin overdose.

MORPHINE: Vice Narcotics detectives indicted Rebecca Ann Dernar, 42 of Great Mills, for Distribution of Morphine. She was originally held without bail.

OXYCODONE: Robert Edward Moy, Jr., 28 of Lusby, was arrested on a Grand Jury Indictment of Distribution of Oxycodone.

OXYCODONE: Margaret Patricia Hare, 47 of Leonardtown, was arrested after being indicted for Distribution of Oxycodone.
