LEONARDTOWN, Md.—The St. Mary's County Commissioners today announced the appointment of Dr. Rebecca Bolton Bridgett to the position of County Administrator. Dr. Bridgett assumes her duties on April 15. Bridgett was dismissed from her role as county administrator by the Charles County Board of Commissioners in June 2012 in a closed session meeting. She was subsequently hired by the Charles County Sheriff's Office in July 2012 to serve as the Acting Director of the Human Resources and Administrative Services Division. As of today, she is currently employed in that position.
