LEONARDTOWN, Md. (March 15, 2013)The St. Mary's County Bureau of Criminal Investigations (BCI) Narcotics Division released the following incident and arrest reports. The Division is an investigative team comprised of detectives from the St. Marys County Sheriffs Office, Maryland State Police Drug Enforcement Division, and Federal Drug Agents (HIDTA Group 34). The Division was established on September 1st, 2007 and is based in St. Marys County.
ROBBERY INVESTIGATION LEADS TO DRUG ARRESTS: Patrol Deputies responded to a reported robbery at a Charlotte Hall motel. As deputies continued the investigation, independent witnesses gave conflicting information. Deputies discovered Oxycodone, burnt metal spoons, syringes and other drug paraphernalia on the scene. The two original complainants, James Anthony Lawrence, Jr., 34 of Mechanicsville, and Jessica Leigh Brown, 23 of Charlotte Hall, were arrested for the drug offenses. Further check revealed that Suspect Lawrence had an open indictment which was obtained by Vice/Narcotics detectives. A St. Mary's Grand Jury issued the arrest warrant with charges that included Conspiring to Obtain Oxycodone and Possession of Oxycodone with the Intent to Distribute. The only item that was reported stolen at this time is a cell phone. The investigation is still under investigation.
MARIJUANA, ALPRAZOLAM: Ricky Davonte Thomas, 21 of Lexington Park, was charged after detectives found him to be in possession of marijuana, a smoking device, a straw with residue and illegally in possession of prescription medication, Alprazolam.
MARIJUANA: Brian Keith Wible, 54, and Linda Marie Bond, 18, both of Ridge, were present during the execution of a search and seizure warrant. The warrant was for a related third party, but the two listed suspects were found to be in possession of a quantity of marijuana, a marijuana grinder, and two related smoking devices. They were charged with the misdemeanor offenses.
ILLEGAL SLOT MACHINES: Patrick Erin Dugan, 50 of Hollywood, was charged with two counts of illegal gambling after slot machines he was operating were seized from his Hollywood bar.
