Inmate Charged for Fire Sprinkler Activation


CALVERT COUNTY, Md.—Deputy State Fire Marshals served a criminal summons on Friday on inmate Anthony Lee Wilmer, age 21, for intentionally damaging a fire sprinkler in the booking cell of the Calvert County Detention Center located at 325 Stafford Road in Barstow.

The incident originally occurred at 10:40 p.m. on February 27. The damage to the fire sprinkler resulted in a false alarm and water damage estimated at $200. Wilmer was charged with False Alarm and Malicious Destruction of Property. Conviction of this act may result in penalties of up to 5 years and 2 months additional imprisonment and/or $5,500 in fines.
