MSP Reports for Calvert County


PRINCE FREDERICK, Md. (November 26, 2012)—The Prince Frederick Barrack of the Maryland State Police (MSP) today released the following incident and arrest reports.

THEFT: On 11/19/2012 at 1:00 pm, Corporal Bennett responded to the 400 block of Calvert Beach Rd. in St. Leonard for a reported theft and destruction of property. The rear side window of a vehicle was broken out and a red Northern Tool mini pallet jack was stolen. Investigation continues.

DUI, POSSESSION OF PERCOCET: On 11/20/2012 at 1:50 am, Trooper First Class Willaims stopped a vehicle for traffic violations on Rt. 4, north of Broomes Island Road in Port Republic. The driver, Timothy E. Garner, 38 of Port Republic, was arrested for DUI. During a search of the vehicle, percocet and related drug paraphernalia were located. Garner was incarcerated in the Calvert County Detention Center.

THEFT FROM VEHICLE: On 11/20/2012 @ 04:19 pm, Sergeant Roach received a report of a theft of a rear MD registration plate 8AN6469 from a vehicle parked at the Sunderland Park and Ride. Investigation continues.

DUI, POSSESSION OF MARIJUANA & COCAINE: On 11/22/2012 @ 12:22 am, Trooper Lewis stopped a vehicle for traffic violations on Rt. 4 near MF Bowen Rd. in Prince Frederick. The driver, Scott L. Lane, 41 of Lusby, was arrested for DUI. During a search to secure the vehicle, both cocaine and marijuana were located. Lane was incarcerated at the Calvert County Detention Center.

TAMPERING WITH MOTOR VEHICLE: On 11/23/2012 at 11:59 am, Trooper First Class Logsdon responded to the 4000 block of Band Shell Ct. in Chesapeake Beach. The victim reported their vehicle was entered and the contents rummaged through. Nothing was reported missing. Investigation continues.

POSSESSION OF MARIJUANA, CONCEALED DEADLY WEAPON: On 11/24/2012 at 11:32 am, Trooper First Class Esnes stopped a vehicle for traffic violations on Main Street in Prince Frederick. The driver, Wesley J. Herbert, 19 of Fruitland, was found to be in possession marijuana and drug paraphernalia. He was also found to be in possession of a concealed knife. He was incarcerated at the Calvert County Detention Center.
