LEONARDTOWN, Md. (November 22, 2012)The St. Mary's County Sheriff's Office released the following incident and arrest reports.
MARIJUANA ARREST: On November 2, deputies responded to a suspicious person complaint in the area of Forest Run Drive and Pegg Road in Lexington Park. It was reported that a black, female, wearing green pants and a white jacket was possibly selling controlled dangerous substances. Deputies located a woman matching the suspect's description. She was identified as Solitaire Felicia Smith, 37 of Lexington Park. Further investigation revealed Smith was in possession of a smoking device containing suspected controlled dangerous substance residue and a baggie containing suspected marijuana. Smith was arrested and charged with possession of a controlled dangerous substance.
FIRST DEGREE ASSAULT, RECKLESS ENDANGERMENT, HINDERING: On November 4, deputies responded to a residence on Roosevelt Blvd in Chaptico for a report of a subject with a gun. Investigation revealed Linda Inez Goldring, 56 of Chaptico, was engaged in a verbal dispute with the victim which escalated into a physical assault when Goldring stated she was going to get a shotgun and "take care of" the victim. The victim fled the residence into the woods. Goldring fired the shotgun into the air. Numerous individual were standing outside of the residence when Goldring fired the gun. Charles Henry Hall, 35 of Lexington Park, attempted to hinder the investigation by intentionally hiding the shotgun and lying to deputies. Deputies located the shotgun and shell casing. Goldring and Hall were placed under arrest. Goldring was charged with first degree assault, second degree assault and reckless endangerment. Hall was charged with hindering/obstructing a police investigation.
THEFT LESS THEN $1,000, DRUG ARREST: On November 4, deputies responded to a local business for a report of shoplifters in custody. Upon arrival deputies met with the Loss Prevention Officer who had Jullian Dawn Winters, 28 of Leonardtown, and Crystal Dawn Major, 28 Leonardtown, in custody for theft. Further investigation revealed Winters was also in possession of suspected marijuana. Crystal Major was charged with theft less then $1,000 and Winters was charged with theft less then $1,000 and possession of a controlled dangerous substance.
THEFT OVER $1,000, THEFT SCHEME: On November 15, deputies responded to Lowe's in California for the report of an internal theft. Deputies met with store representatives who advised that between July of and November of 2012, Evantee Lolita Livingston, 23 of Lexington Park, stole more then $5,500 in currency while employed as a cashier. Livingston was arrested and charged with theft over $1,000 and theft scheme.
MOTOR VEHICLE THEFT: On November 15, the victim parked her 2006 Honda Element in front of a local business on Killpeck Creek Court in Mechanicsville. The victim left the vehicle running. An employee of the business observed a black male, carrying a suitcase, enter the victim's vehicle and drive away. A lookout for the stolen vehicle was broadcast. Deputies located and stopped the vehicle on Golden beach Road and All faiths Church Road. The operator of the vehicle, later identified as Alfred Patrick Johnson, 19 of Hyattsville, fled on foot. A short time later a Maryland State Trooper located Johnson on Market Drive. Johnson has no ties to St. Mary's County. When the vehicle was recovered the victim discovered her cell phone missing. Johnson was and charged with theft of a motor vehicle, rouge and vagabond and theft under $1000.
SECOND DEGREE ASSAULT: On November 15, deputies responded to a residence on Liberty Street in Lexington Park for a report of an assault. Investigation revealed Gregory Ray Brown, Jr., 26 of Lexington Park, was involved in a verbal dispute with the victim which escalated into a physical assault when Brown squeezed the victim head and pushed the victim into a door. Brown was arrested and charged with second degree assault.
THEFT LESS THEN $100: On November 16, deputies responded to a theft in progress from Vintage Values in Lexington Park. The St. Mary's Emergency Communication Center broadcast a lookout for a black male, wearing a blue track suit carrying a stolen portable stereo system. Responding deputies located the suspect, later identified as Tony Anthony Warren Gough, 22 of Lexington Park, walking along Great Mills Road. Gough was still in possession of the stolen stereo system. Gough was arrested and charged with theft.
SECOND DEGREE ASSAULT: On November 16, deputies responded to a residence on Riverside Drive in Hollywood for a report of an assault. Investigation revealed Ryan William Mellott, 21 of Hollywood, was involved in a verbal dispute with the victim which escalated into a physical assault when Mellott pushed the victim onto a bed. Mellott then threw a laptop computer at the victim, striking the victim in the foot. Mellott was arrested and charged with second degree assault.
DESTRUCTION OF PROPERTY: On November 17, deputies responded to a residence on Three Coves Road in Hollywood for a report of a burglary in progress. The St. Mary's County Emergency Communication Center reported a white male was beating on the door to the residence trying to make entry. The suspect fled on a moped prior the deputies' arrival but was located a short time later. The suspect was identified as Thomas Jeffrey Combs, 28 of Hollywood. Further investigation revealed Combs was intoxicated and had been banging on the door and yelling he needed a jump-start for his moped. Combs damaged the victim's to the door. He was arrested and charged with destruction of property.
INHALED HARMFUL SUBSTANCE: On November 18, deputies were dispatched to a suspicious subject inhaling substances in vehicle parked in parking lot of a local business in Leonardtown. Deputies located subject, later identified as Sean Michael Brown, 42 of Chaptico. Brown was seated in the vehicle with a canister of "Air Duster" sitting between his legs. Deputies spoke with Brown who appeared to be confused. Brown then picked up the canister and began to inhale the contents in the presence of the deputies. When the deputies attempted to take the canister from Brown, he resisted and turned away. Brown was then removed from the vehicle and arrested. He was charged with possession of a controlled dangerous substance.
VIOLATION OF A PROTECTIVE ORDER: On June 14, John Waring Raley, 58 of Leonardtown, was served with a protective order ordering that he have no contact with the petitioner of the order. The order was effective until December 10, 2012. Raley violated the conditions of the order by sending the petitioner a letter. Raley was charged with violating the condition of a protective order.
THEFT OVER $1,000, THEFT SCHEME: On November 19, deputies responded to the Wal-Mart in California for a report of a theft. Upon arrival, deputies met with a Loss Prevention Officer who reported that employee, Ma-Pia Acao Generalao, 33 of Lusby, stole seven Apple I-Phones valued over $4,000. The theft occurred between October of and November 2012. Generalao was arrested and charged with theft over $1,000 and theft scheme.
MARIJUANA ARREST: On November 20, deputies conducted a foot patrol, premise check in the area of Ronald Drive in Lexington Park. Deputies have made several controlled dangerous substance arrests in the area which is known for high illegal drug activity. As deputies arrived they noticed an occupied, suspicious vehicle with the lights off parked in the roadway. Deputies watched two individuals exited a residence, approached the driver's window which is indicative of a possible illegal drug transaction. The deputies approached the vehicle to investigation. The deputies contacted the driver, Shawn Kerry Legrant, 20 of Lexington Park, and passenger Nathan Lamar Bush, 20 of Great Mills. As the deputies were speaking with Legrant and Bush they notice both were very nervous and attempted to conceal a clear plastic bag in the center console. Deputies could also smell an odor of burnt marijuana emitting from vehicle. A probable cause search of the vehicle revealed several bags of suspected marijuana. Legrant and Bush were arrested and charged with possession of a controlled dangerous substance - suspected marijuana.
THEFT, DRIVING WHILE SUSPENDED: On November 10, the St. Mary's County Emergency Communications Center broadcast a lookout for a suspicious vehicle. The vehicle was described as a blue, Ford F-150 with Virginia registration. The driver of the truck was seen in the area of Budds Creek Road and Rocky Ridge Road in Chaptico loading a Maryland State Highway road sign into the bed of the truck. Deputy Harris located and stopped the truck. He identified the driver as Scott Oliver Henson, 45 of Temple Hills. Further investigation and contact with Maryland State Highway Administration revealed Henson did not have permission to remove the road sign. He was arrested for theft and driving while suspended.
SECOND DEGREE ASSAULT: On November 10, deputies responded to a residence on Woodlawn Drive in California for a report of an assault. Investigation revealed Amber Jeanne Ewing, 45 of California, was engaged in a verbal dispute which escalated into a physical assault when Ewing struck and scratched the victim about the face and neck. Ewing was arrested and charged with second degree assault.
SECOND DEGREE ASSAULT: On November 10, deputies responded to a residence on Sue Drive in Lexington Park for a disturbance. Investigation revealed Shawn Michael Miles, 20 of Lexington Park, was engaged in a verbal dispute which escalated into a physical assault when Miles grabbed the victim by the arms causing scratches. Miles was arrested and charged with second degree assault.
RECKLESS ENDANGERMENT: On November 11, deputies responded to a residence on Rustic Way in Hollywood for a report of an assault. Investigation revealed Robert Steven Lacey, 33 of Hollywood, had been consuming alcoholic beverages. He became upset over a domestic dispute. Lacey fired three rounds from a Bersa .380 handgun into the ground outside of the residence. Four individuals were in the yard near where Lacey fired the shots. Lacey was arrested and charged with 4 counts of reckless endangerment.
